I suppose at some point this will qualify as beating a dead horse, but holy smokes, man, nobody went to watch the 49ers last night.

There appears to be considerably more people in the cheaper seats, other than nosebleed upper deck.

Attendance: 70,178
100%
Capacity: 68,500

This is from espn.com. Who are you going to believe, ESPN or your lying eyes?

If the contracts these athletes signed could be voided or at least decreased due to the decreased crowds at games and decreased viewership on TV and ensuing decreased revenues, there would be some serious changes in the acts of those players kneeling during the games.

Who wants to pay good money to see a bunch of ignorant and treasonous pricks who whine about the country that made them rich?

I wish the NFL just dropped all the fakery. We don’t need Appreciation/Awareness months and field size flags. Now NFL players are demanding if there is Breast Cancer Awareness month why not Racial Equality Awareness month. They don’t do this crap at college games.

Maybe they’re all in the concourse area slurping their cioppino, sipping their Chardonnay and smoking their pot.

Attendance is based on tickets sold. I am sure a lot of Silicon Valley companies scoop up season tickets to entertain potential customers. But since the 49ers suck not much entertainment value.

They used the same accountants for this that counted ballots in the red states after the election. More votes than people living in the counties, but there is no fraud.

I wonder if there has been a drop in a attendance at Seattle football games. Seattle is surrounded by military bases (JBLM, NB Everett, Bremerton, Bangor, NAS Whidbey, etc).

Seahawks fans are known for their rabid and loud allegiance. I used to be a fan. Not anymore after Bennett started his BS and Russell Wilson couldn't keep his mouth shut.

I'd love to see the attendance at NFL games continue to drop like a cow off the high dive. Make them go get real jobs.

Looks about half-full, but it was a reported sell-out. I know there are always some no-shows, but not that many! And what’s with the uniforms? Neither side looks like they’re wearing 49er uniforms.

Waiting for some pundit to say that if the NFL would only rehire Kapernick and apologize for being so racist, the fans would forgive and the stands would fill back up.

Very true. If a team is having a rough season, nobody wants to go to the game.

MLB has had to add all sorts of features to the parks. The stadium fans are older and whiter than ever. And most games are not readily available on TV. The audience is not growing. And as a percent of population its far down from 30 years ago. They are making up for it with more ads and higher ticket and souvenir prices.

Chiefs play the Chargers on Sunday. I understand that San Diego Los Angeles hasn't been able to sell out a 27,000 seat soccer stadium. Could be interesting.
