I remember him from Never Say Never Again and Guns of the Magnificent Seven. I enjoyed his work in both.
I didn't know he was also a football player.
RIP.

“Never Say Never Again”. The far superior of the two Bond flicks (official or not) released in 1983.
Bernie Casey carved out a nice “that guy” niche for himself: “Sharkey’s Machine”, “Revenge of the Nerds”, “Spies Like Us”.
RIP.

If you have an OTA antenna, “Sharkey’s Machine” is on the “GRIT” channel. I caught part of it the other day.

Man... we’re losing folks left and right lately...
RIP, Bernie... scared the hell outta me in “Gargoyles” when I was a kid.

Svengoolie recently replayed that movie. It was easy to see why so many of us were scared by it!

That movie was like 1971 or so... VERY creepy. The makeup made him like classic Lucifer paintings.
Cool flick. I’d like to see a remake of it, although Hollywood being what it is nowadays they’d probably f*** it up completely with leftist bullsh*t.

Eveningstar, thanks for posting that link to the movie.
Haven’t seen it since I was a kid. I appreciate it.
The Norliss Tapes and Kolchak: The Stalker are on that site too.
Ahh, Memories of Doctor Shock, Creature Double Feature, Horror Theater, and CHiller Theater in 1970s Philly...
They really were better days.

ANother good old scary movie - “The Brides of Dracula” from 1960 with Peter Cushing. LOVED that movie when I was a kid...
Can’t find a decent copy of it on YouTube anywhere.

The “THIS” OTA channel usually runs a block of those flicks around Halloween.

Nice.
Love the old monster movies. Cheesy, hokey, and fun.
From a better time, with better actors and better people.

Off topic, but two excellent movies I recommend (try catching them on the MGMHD Channel when they have a “Walter Matthau Day”) are:
The Fortune Cookie
Charley Varrick
Two different genres, but good watching, especially “Charley Varrick”. I love the scene in it where a google tries screwing around with the Joe Don Baker character. Joe Don “handles” the google the way they should be handled.

I remember both of them.
Mathau was a good actor. I enjoyed him “The Taking of Pelham 123” (the original 1974 version).
He was good in whatever role he played.
