Not a big baseball fan. This isn't newsworthy. I'm not pimping a blog. I know not many people care. I also know there are more important things to talk about. Hurricanes. North Korea. Global Cooling. Healthcare. Tax Reform. Pizza...definitely pizza. Trump's Tweets - and he put out a mother lode of them today.
But I'm sitting here in a Long Island bar, Millers Ale House in Lake Grove, and they have this game on with Red Sox ace Chris Sale pitching and the stands are pretty much empty. Just thought I'd point that out.
Not a big baseball fan but I never remember a game that had this few people in the stands.
Those Cleveland Indians...they have now won 25 of the last 26 games. How amazing is that? Maybe they draw a bigger crowd.
The Oreoles are out of it, so no crowd.
Weeknight game. Tomorrow is a work day.
There are signs and indicators that the entire professional sports industry is beginning to suffer noticeably from the decades long series of self inflicted wounds the prima donas have committed.
Sad really. Never was a sports fan of any kind, but at least I respected the sports.
Thanks to the Football/Basketball Felon societies, and supported in their idiocies by the way left of the Bell Curve ESPN idiots, those two sports are beneath thinking about.
Baseball appears to have escaped thus far. But for how long?
I live in Maryland. Camden Yards is always empty unless the Red Sox or Yankees are playing there.
That said, once school starts Red Sox and Yankee fans don’t travel to Baltimore to watch the games if they are weeknights.
Been here since 1995 (sadly) and can attest to the accuracy of my observations.
Interesting hubby was watching a Yankee/Twins game earlier...The stands empty at that one too.
Fenway Park is nearly always filled to capacity.
Of course, it is a small park, but still...
Baltimore has a beautiful ballpark in the worst part of town.
I wouldn’t go either.
When Camden yards first opened, they got big crowds regardless of where the Orioles were in the standings. I recall there was excitement because of it being the first of the retro style ballparks.
I didn’t know they had different size baseballs.
I always thought all baseballs were the same size.
Now I found out there are large baseballs and small baseballs and that some people are the fans of these different size baseballs.
I now know your not a large baseball fan.

In the mid 60's,when I was just a pup,my Dad took me with him on a business trip to Chicago.He got me a ticket to a Cubs-Giants game while he was working.
April....cold...drizzling...dreary.No more than a couple of thousand in the stands.

It is in the best part of town in a city that is a complete disaster. I call it Baltimordor. I used to go to games when the Red Sox were in town, but would never risk my life going there now.
Camden Yards is a special place. Sad that its empty.
