While I don't expect every marriage to end in failure, this article does point out what could happen to a man. And against his will. At anytime. For any reason.
False Allegations of Abuse Target Men in Divorce
Penniless.
I plead the fifth
Almost got married once.
I decided to not give away everything I had worked for.
She’s on number 3.
Let me guess, advice goes something like this:
“Provoke the husband/father with a onslaught of in your face verbal abuse, when he pushes you away call the cops tell them he physically assaulted you. The cops will drag him away in cuffs (in front of the kids), for violating the plethora of “violence against women laws”, and you get the house, money, kids, child support. “
The Father/husband then has a 60-70% chance of committing suicide in the next two years.
A few years ago, a divorced guy in NH suffered thru all that, went to the probate court, poured gasoline on his head and lit himself on fire.
Nothing in the news, no one knows about it, no one cares. Ex-wife probably living in Bahamas.
Where is GOD in any of this?

If the men weren’t having affairs, it will be best for them to just say good bye and try to stay around for the kids if possible after the divorce. In some cases, try to get custody of any children under the age of 18.

A lawyer hires a special prostitute, usally quite good looking. She dresses up and makes sure she happens across him, makes sure they have a brief, friendly verbal exchange. In the coming week or so she repeats the performance “Fancy running into you again, so soon, wow” but also asks for his phone number, makes sure he gets the idea she’s INTERESTED in him.
The basic legal standard is she has to be filmed (there’s a covert film team, one or two people) entering a hotel room with him —not the glitsy front of a hotel with a restaurant mind you (where a couple could simply have real meal) but the actual door of the room.
The law assumes they had sex.
And then the wife is in a much better position to clean-up in the ensuing divorce.
For the whore, this type of work involves more treachery but pays better than routine tricks.
Then some people are confused about the MGTOW movement. It’s not a woman bashing movement. It’s a self-respect and self-preservation movement. I’m not a part of it - have self-respect and can protect myself - but understand it.
This woman is a bottom feeder. She wants all these women to be just as miserable as she is.

For some without ethics the end always justifies the means. Those who once believe in the golden rule have been taught well by leftist elites w/o scruples and the media propaganda machine.
Just for the record, ALL abusers say that they were provoked by their victim....whether they were or not.
The example you gave isn’t abuse (obviously) but you will get the same “she pushed my buttons” from a man who has just thrown his wife down a flight of stairs, hit her with a chair, etc. Guess how I know that?
Three years ago in or around Pleasanton, Calif there was a scandal:
Guys would be approached by a beautiful woman in a bar who’d by myseteriously SUPER interested in him.
She’d get him drunk, feigning delight, conversation, etc.
Then he’d be juiced to the gills, get in his car and PRESTO..!!!
He’s pulled over for DUI. Yeah, by a real cop.
And then by amazing coincidence he’d then get hit with the divorce filing during which her lawyer could present his DUI conviction as evidence of recent instability:
She’d be in much better position for full custody.
Yes, it all came out, including the totally unethical police roll in all this.

That’s why marriage is a dying institution. The marriage contract is 3 sided. You, the spouse and the state. One spouse can end the marriage without the consent of the other. Then the state butts in and forces a settlement. And here, the results are lopsided in favor of women. Thus making marriage a raw deal for men. Prior to the sexual revolution and no-fault divorce most people were married. Nowadays there are more single 18-40 year olds than married ones. I conclude that the benefits of marriage are not what they used to be. Otherwise men would be proposing more often and much earlier in life.

Will attempt to do better even when it is not owed.
Divorced women seldom do well for themselves outside their 20s. Sure men will sleep with them, but few men of quality will marry a woman who destroyed her first marriage.
