I can’t complain about the quality. I think Subway is very good. Availability is not a problem either. Can’t throw a rock without hitting one. But I still go there just once or twice a year. I’m more into wings, fish, and ribs...not all at the same time. :>)
Disagree. Fast food prices are too high, period. $10 for a meal deal, you could do better going to a restaurant.
I live in Rome, NY, and we have two Subways. The only other options available to get sub sandwiches here are from the local pizza joints where you’ll pay a whole lot more, or make them yourself at home. The closest Jimmy John’s is about 12 miles away, and I don’t even know if that is still open. There are no other sub sandwich franchises in our area.
“I walk in and theyll say #9 Sub in a tub, right?”
There was a time when I was known as “toasted everything with spinach bacon” at the local bagel shop.
They were running a promotion aimed at kids called Jared’s Pants Dance at the time he was arrested. Talk about lousy timing.

What’s a subway cost at the airport, $15?
I've always found the Subway people willing to give me whatever I ask for. In fact, they've always been very pleasant to deal with.
LOL — spot on.
Give me one restaurant you can eat for $10.00
Food, drink, tip combined...
I hear ya. I've posted many times I can make 5 six inch Schlotsky's sandwiches (yeah, different chain but the same pricewise and same concept) for the price of 1 bought at the drive thru window. That includes homemade clone recipes of their buns and mayo garlic spread. Five sandwiches for the price of one. Can't beat that. And sure saves time and gas since in the entire county, we only have three sandwich places - 2 Subways and 1 Schlotsky's.
The quality of the cold-cuts they use is dreadful.
The bread/roll is the only thing that makes the sammi edible.
When Subway started sending sliced meat to their stores instead of sending large slabs of meat to be sliced in the stores I quit going.
Fresh is not in their bargain, cept for the bread.
I only go to Subway when I get a craving for a salad or a tuna sub. Tuna salad is the only fish I eat, and I don’t do seafood either. Ribs are okay if cooked right, but I wouldn’t order it if I went out to eat. I’m a Filet Mignon person, but don’t eat out much as I hate to spend the money. I’ve got two small filets sitting in my freezer that I recently purchased, and no immediate plans to cook them. I’m more of a burger person. Love blue-cheese burgers. KFC recently introduced their Georgia Gold chicken tenders, and I absolutely love them. Get them a couple times a month. I don’t eat wings very often...prefer white meat, and anything boneless.
Never eaten at FH sub’s, but we have one in our town.
We don’t have many national franchises here so that may help with the price. I scrolled through 10 local pages at yelp.com and found just one that was $$$ and that was at the yacht club.
Subway is alright, and I’ll go there on occasion. Jimmy John’s is a bit pricy, but they do make a better sandwich.
Subway is fine nutritionally, really. I don’t eat bread so I don’t eat there but I buy sandwiches for my sons there all the time. My one veg son, I have to ask for double cheese because the cheese sandwich ends up so pathetically thin compared to the roast beef or meat sandwich.
I’ve never had restaurant wings. Always make them at home. Raw wing pieces are too expensive to buy frozen at the grocery so cut off the raw wing portions and freeze when I make a whole chicken. Eventually, there’s enough for a batch, yum.
I can eat at Village Inn for under $10, but that’s getting water, and not including tip so you are probably right that it’s hard.
Last month while I was at my salon getting my hair trimmed the staff was waiting for lunch to be delivered from Jersey Mike’s. Then someone raved about the Philly cheese steak & everyone said how fantastic it is. I’m not a big sub person, but it sounded delicious.
