Jerry Jones: Cowboys Will Stand For The Flag Or “Your @ss Will Be Off The Team”
Waynee Dupree ^ | Wayne Dupree

This is why the Dallas Cowboys are my team; I love the attitude. Sure some grown immature snowflakes will call out Jerry Jones, but it’s his team, and he loves America.

Just as Jones sets requirements for his team, he expects commitment and loyalty. If he’s paying the salaries, why can’t he impose these rules on his team? If you have a problem with this, then you don’t want to be a Dallas Cowboy, or you should explore joining another team where they let you disrespect the American flag, but that won’t happen in Dallas.

Jerry Jones sees that the NFL has been pushed to the edge of an abyss by the cultural warriors and radical Left, and that any further steps will lead to the NFL’s destruction (and big $$ losses)

Kudos to the Cowboys. In a more indirect manner, the Green Bay Packers have also told the team the same.

Thank you, Jerry. It’s too late, since the Commissioner disagrees with you - but thanks, anyway.

Every good Christian in Texas knows two things:

- love Jesus

- hate Jerry Jones

This could turn me around on ‘ol Jerrah

I believe him...

America made him rich, he’s not ashamed to pay her back.

they aren’t your team. they aren’t america’s team. the entire nfl jumped the shark years ago. now, the nfl is a cartel of semi-secretive controlling business interests that are colluding to suck as many dollars out of your pocket as they can.

they don’t give a damn about the flag — unless it has dollars coming off it.

I am not a Cowboys fan. I am an Eagles fan from boyhood having grown up near Philly. I applaud Jerry Jones nevertheless and hope they kick the sh*t out of the Giants and Redskins.

True -- but I don't think he was ever out-coached on the field. The Oilers simply didn't have as much talent as a lot of other teams when he was coaching them. Other than Dan Pastorini, I can't even remember who else played QB on those "Luv Ya Blue" teams.

Bum Phillips was the most entertaining NFL head coach of his generation. LOL.

P.S. -- Houston did get robbed of a game-tying TD in that 1980 AFC championship game against Pittsburgh on the infamous blown call of the Mike Renfro TD catch.

If he’s paying the salaries, why can’t he impose these rules on his team?

Because some loonie union rep will claim that requiring employees to stand during the national anthem is a workplace rule or condition of employment that must be negotiated as part of the collective bargaining process, rather than unilaterally imposed by management.

The union rep. would be right. The NBA went through the same sh!t in the 1990s, and they addressed it during their next round of collective bargaining with the player's union.

Legally, the Cowboys probably couldn't cut a player who refuses to stand for the national anthem. But they sure as hell can bench the jerk right there on the spot, and then keep him on the roster but deactivate him for every game over the rest of the season. As long as they pay the player under the terms of his contract, the union has no grounds to file a grievance.

Steelers’ OT On Kaepernick Sitting During Natl. Anthem: ‘Minorities Are Fighting For The Flag’

Villanueva was an active member of the U.S. Army from 2010 to 2013 before coming to the Steelers. He is a former Army Ranger, served three tours of duty in Afghanistan, and is a decorated veteran, earning a Bronze Star Medal of Valor.

“I agree that America is not perfect, I agree there are lot of issues with minorities in this country, I agree we should do something about it,” said Villanueva, who is of Spanish descent. “But I don’t know if the most effective way is to sit down when the national anthem of the country that is providing you freedom and providing you $60 million a year is the best way to do it when there are black minorities that are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan and protecting our freedom for less than $20,000 a year.”

Preseason. The Patriots manage to lose most of their preseason games and their record is not too shabby.

Yep, let 5 offensive starters not stand and watch Jerry’s face turn red and nothing else.

But he did probably just insure no bench warmers will sit or kneel. They need the pay check.

But what will he do if they stand with a raised fists in the air?
