Good question. I’ve not read a newspaper for news in almost forever. I was a letter to the editor type, even then.

We do not have a “free press”. The web can be, but is often covered with the noise of propaganda.

You have to be perceptive these days to weed out the disinformation and do a "really? seriously?" look at what's put out as news on the MSMLSD circuit. As for the dead tree newspapers, they're slowly going subscription websites that people don't want to pay for. Seattle lost the Post-Intelligencer (Seattle's oldest paper) quit printing several years ago, went online and now is practically not heard of; it was a super liberal paper with a political cartoonist that actually hated America and our military. The PI was no great loss.

When it comes to cost and paying, liberal run the other way.
