We were just discussing this sort of thing, in the context of the unpleasant events in Charlottesville. When people decide that everything bad in their lives is someone else’s fault, the chance of their being destructive people increases, especially if they congregate.
On the other hand, if people decide that their problems result from their own bad decisions, or from randomness and entropy, then they will improve what they can and shrug at the rest. *drink*
In summary, either you’re a Grievance Person or you’re not.
