The main McMaster story for me has been his refusal to acknowledge Islamic terrorism and his support for Obama holdovers.
I don't know his exact position on Israel. But his appointment of Kris Bauman, an apologist for Hamas, as the point man on Israel and Caroline Glick's comments, would suggest he shares the basic animus of Obama and Bush officials toward Israel.
But as part of the media's full court press defense of McMaster (itself telling as anything) has been the fake news claim that Israeli government officials support McMaster.
The sources of the Fake News claim are the Times of Israel and Haaretz.
Haaretz is a left-wing anti-Israel paper operating in Israel. It's the equivalent of the New York Times if the latter stopped pretending it hated America and wanted to see it gone. A single incident with its deranged former chief editor should suffice.
Haaretzs Chief Editor asked US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to rape Israel, using other unsavory terminology as well in his request for American pressure....
This particular piece of Fake News was promoted by the Times of Israel, another left-wing paper hostile to Israel, but one whose bias is more subtle. Subtle enough to fool plenty of people.
Here's the Fake News headline from the Times of Israel. Israeli officials say under-fire McMaster a great friend of Israel
Well that's interesting. Who are these officials? Where are their quotes?
... If you know the media, you can already guess the answer. There are no officials. There's just an anonymous source at an anti-Israel paper.

So Knish, Glick, et al., say that defense of McMaster is fake news. Sun-dress on CTH says that attacks on McMaster are fake news.
“Fascinating” in my best Spock voice.
Starting to feel like the inside of a Yeats poem.
Slouching.
Sundance of CTH is jumping the shark as we speak over his defense of McIslamIsMyMaster.
I saw that.
Yes, Sundance is.
And I wonder who put out the defense of McMaster in President Trump’s name.
This is getting pretty ridiculous that so many conservatives are arguing for or against McMaster based on what Israel wants. Let’s focus on what’s good for America here and leave the opinions of foreign governments out of it.
I saw someplace a claim that it was put out without the President ‘s permission. Who knows?
Right.
Wanting a strong US military can be misleading if the purpose of that military is to be in service to global government as the world’s policeman. And it’s even worse if that military is a mere mercenary force because the people in charge of it are bribed by foreign powers, be they Saudi Arabia or Israel.
Point taken. But Trump campaigned as a strong supporter of Israel.
Support for or against Israel is a great indicator of support for or against the US.
It is simple good vs evil. If McMaster is pro-Hamas, he cannot be pro-US.
It doesn’t even matter what Trunp said in a tweet. When a president has took make a statement like that, the exact opposite is almost always true.
“I have confidence in.....”
In the real world, those who want us less close to israel want us closer to the Arabs. Its a zero sum game.
Ditto that.
Sorry. McMaster and Bauman are pro Hamas. An NSC that supports Hamas is an NSC that doesn't understand the real dangers in the world.
Yeah, that’s your take, but McMaster supporters are claiming the Israeli government likes MacMaster. I’m not making an argument about McMaster. I’m making an argument that it’s ridiculous that pro-Trump conservatives are making Israel the centerpiece of the argument about McMaster.

Too much smoke. I choose to believe he should be fired.
McDhimmi fires anyone willing to talk about Islamism. The fact that he supports Al Qaeda’s sister org Hamas is a symptom of his intellectual treason
