How about the multitude of naval aviators and flight deck crew right here on Free Republic (myself included) who know and understand carrier operations because they actually took part in them, and know with 100% certainty that all this crap about McCain “starting the fire” is absolute and unmitigated BS?
Those of us who want to step on this idiocy aren’t carrying water for McCain, nearly all of us detest his actions as a politician.
We’re doing because the truth is important, and trying to use the deaths and injuries on the USS Forrestal in July 1967 to use as a political weapon (when there are plenty of political weapons available to use against McCain for those who have the courage and faith to use them) is a slap in the face of every single one of those crewmen who were killed or injured.
People should just knock this off and stop posting this crap. It makes us look like idiots, especially when it is so easily refuted.

Sir Napsalot, if you want to use that bookmark as a reference to events on the USS Forrestal in 1967, delete it, because nearly everything in that is crap and will make you a fool in the eyes of people who know what they are talking about.
However, if you want to use it as a reference to his egregious behavior as a husband and a politician, it may be useful.

To be fair that was never concluded and likely we will never know the truth of exactly how that went down because some people are above the law.
We will never see any of these politicians pay for their crimes unless they are named Trump who as far as we know has done nothing except beat Hillary.
