How did they get in, I wonder. If they opened it from the outside, how did the driver not see this? If it was opened from the inside, how is it that they were trapped?
Has to recycle air from the outside to do the heat exchange - put a window air conditioner in a closed room and turn it on and the temp won't change much - one side puts out cold air and the other side puts out heat (that is normally discharged outside).
The AC unit is on the outside of these trailers.
I was thinking more along the lines that the poor bastards inside would have died of asphyxiation anyway even if the outside temp was cooler. There are air vents on those trailers and if they’re not open it sealed up pretty tight.
But, they (the illegals) well know the risks.
Our local news reported that the truck’s driver was six years old. They then had a picture of an elderly man. I gathered he must have had a really hard six years.
