If you thought the last trailer was something, well then you're definitely not ready for this. Marvel Studios has just unleashed the official theatrical trailer for Thor: Ragnarok and it's just unreal!

I'm seriously geeked up for this film.

For those who don't like this stuff, please don't pollute the thread. Find something else that amuses you...

Which one is Surtur? I never followed the Thor comics. Is it the big blue guy?

The giant fire guy at the end of the trailer.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surtr

In Norse mythology, Surtr (sometimes called Surt or Surtur; Old Norse “black”[1] or “the swarthy one”[2]) is a fire giant from Múspell. Surtr is attested in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources, and the Prose Edda, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson. In both sources, Surtr is foretold as being a major figure during the events of Ragnarök; carrying his fire sword, he will go to battle against the Æsir, he will do battle with the major god Freyr, and afterward the flames that he brings forth will engulf the Earth.

In a book from the Prose Edda additional information is given about Surtr, including that he is stationed guarding the frontier of the fiery realm Múspell, that he will lead “Múspell’s sons” to Ragnarök, and that he will defeat Freyr. Surtr has been the subject of place names and artistic depictions, and scholarly theories have been proposed about elements of Surtr’s descriptions and his potential origins.

I’ve never heard anything about Chris Hemsworth’s politics, so I don’t know. However, Mark Ruffalo who plays the Hulk is one of the biggest raving libtard idiots that you will ever see. I won’t pay to see the movie because of that fact alone.

On a side note, I named my Golden Retriever Thor, so I will definitely watch the movie for free online or on TV once it becomes available.

My youngest son got me hooked on the Marvel movies. Just put it in my Netflix saved DVD queue.

The guy strikes me as conservative and sane. Great job in Blackhat.

I remember THOR issue 337 when Walt Simonson took over. Great Surter story line.

Simonson Thor was the best. Would love to see them adapt the beta ray bill storyline for a movie

Most of the Marvel Studios movies have included what will eventually be known as the Infinity Stones.

Here is a nice summary of where they are and clues to what they do:

http://www.ign.com/wikis/marvel-studios-cinematic-universe/Infinity_Stones

It will all come to a head with Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4 which, last I knew was still untitled. The movies are being shot back-to-back.

Very cool. Simonson’s take on Thor was classic, and Walt was probably at the pinnacle of his career when he wrote and illustrated.

Still can’t believe he turned Thor into the frog of thunder and made it work.
