What angers me most about this stuff is that here in Las Vegas there are Mexicans who roam the streets with carts stolen from grocery stores filled with food that they are selling or they sit on the street corners with fruit and vegetables without a license and with no hassles from LE.
Again, they get to do what they want and American citizens are held to the letter of the law.

Some “patriots” would turn the National Mall into an unlicensed open bazaar, complete with fortune tellers and magic carpet salesmen. It’s all good, man.

I tend to agree with you on this. They had an idea that would make them some cash, surely meet the needs of tourists in D.C. on a hot, humid summer afternoon, and they were shot down. They must feel bitter.
One July, my sister and I brought my nine month-old son to meet his great-grandfather in FL. We were traveling by train and stopped in D.C.; went to the mall to have a picnic.
My son was hot and crying; I had to clean him up, particularly the diaper area...I probably would have bought ten bottles of water from those three, easily.
Trump is an entrepreneur; this isn't really such a small issue. From lemonade stands to stuff like this, America's entrepreneurial spirit is being snuffed out by bureaucrats and by-the-book HOA people (from what I understand from posts on here).
I hope Trump personally invites those three to the WH to help him announce some "Let Freedom Ring" initiative that would allow young people and children sell unopened water bottles or lemonade. If we must, have the lemonade sellers make it fresh in front of the buyer.
There has got to be an answer for this.
btw, while they were trying to make some hard-earned money--it was just as hot for them, too--they weren't taking or selling drugs or shooting people.
