I'm blessed. Because of strange ankle bones, I had to give up skinny even medium heels in my early 20s. Put me in those things it would be like putting me on skis....I'd be flat on my face after even one step. So of course I agree with you....in my personal view, those shoes would be a form of torture worse than waterboarding.
But I look at what Melania has done with this whole trip. She ALWAYS dresses for the country and the occasion. Italians like fashion and style. She went all out for Sicily! What I wonder about is how Secret Service feels about her wearing those movement-choking shoes.

Well, I’m not going to say that she ‘walks on water’; but we sure did luck-out in the FLOTUS game this time.

Ralph Lauren could make a killing by producing that bolero/portrait collar thing she wore at the inauguration. Ditto for the longer gloves.
Just lovely.

believe what you want, if you wear quality shoes, (you can get them on Ebay) such as Ferragamo or Jimmy Choo, or better yet Bruno Magli your weight is correctly distributed and the pain is lessened. Yes, they can hurt and it is a relief to slip into Nikes and walk in my neighborhood, but heels make me look and feel better, so I am not asking your approval. Would I walk half a mile in them? Nope, I bring my flats for that. On snowy days I wear my La Canadiens and bring my heels to court.
Hose? Yuck. Black if it is cold and ditch them asap.

I have wide feet. So I can't even wear a shoe that is pointed like the one Melania has on..but if it was a wider version...I wouldn't last the one hour walking around Italy being a tourist on 4 or 5 inch stilettos.

I love the jacket. It’s bold. It’s beautiful. It’s joyful. Just like Melania.

Of Course Yldstrk :)
It's been too long. Glad to know you are still working hard and working strong (and in Heels! lol)

I think its cute but 51K? What utter nonsense. You are assuming that she actually purchased the jacket. My bet is that the jacket is on loan from the designer.
