Fortunately, the 2nd amendment to the constitution has not been interpreted by the courts the way that you believe it should be. If it had been, it would have already been scrapped and replaced with something that would not do as good of a job of protecting our right to bear arms.
Personally, I think we most likely agree far more than we disagree. A legally possessed firearm has literally saved my wife on two separate occasions. Women actually need to be carrying more than men do. But then you go a little to far when you advocate that psychos and criminals should have no restrictions on their ability to purchase and carry firearms. We carry and we go to the range frequently, but any jackass who was out to get us could still pick us off without warning before we would ever have a chance to react.
There are places like California, New York, New Jersey, Chicago and other locations that they have gone way too far. The NRA and other pro 2nd amendment organizations have their hands full trying to fight them and they have gotten a lot of money from me over the years to do it. But the incoherent arguments you make are not helpful at all in the fight. You have to use common sense.
Saying that if everyone was carrying a gun that a psycho or a criminal with a gun would be blown away after he shot just a few innocent victims is not a good argument. It just does not work that way even in places where there are very few restrictions. Psychos and criminals should have to go to a little extra effort to get guns which is all that happens now. I really do not mind that I have to have guns that I buy over the internet shipped to my friend the firearms dealer if it helps keeps an idiot from getting one as easily. There are a lot of people who just won’t bother going to the extra effort who really should not have firearms. I say this as someone who responded to more shootings than I care to remember during my career.
