Having reported all day about how inaccurate Comey’s testimony was, the MSM are in a tough spot getting too indignant right now.
Bravo, President Trump and AG Sessions!
My take is that he was fired because of comments like this: ‘I could not demonstrate intent to release classified information’
He wasn’t even going to recommend arresting Huma Abedin...
When it comes to disclosing classified information, intent (unlike for other crimes) is IRRELEVANT. That right there means that Comey was a) unaware of the law or b) choosing which law to follow and which one not to. Both reasons to fire him.
Lets get a new FBI director, and lets get some convictions on this email mess.

Exactly. So he gets an excuse to fire Comey for lying to Congress - about an exaggeration which benefitted Hillary - apparently there were only a handful of Huma emails sent to her devoted Husband to print.

Whether he lied or just "Misspoke...", it did present a good opportunity! I hope there is a good candidate waiting in the wings... (Sheriff Clark, ???)
Many months ago? Trump's only been in office since January 20th, about 3 1/2 months. I figured he wanted to give Comey a little rope to hang himself. This has actually come a lot faster than I thought it would.

To me, the crucial matter here is not that Trump got rid of Comey, but that Trump now has the confidence in his office to fire the head of the FBI. Trump may have felt his position somewhat precarious before, but now he is acting as an emboldened, secure leader. This augurs well for all of us.
(Calm down.....I'm being sarcastic here.)

I predict Comey’s replacement will be someone not known on the national scene but who is dogged in pursuit of all swamp criminals.
Comey lied, ... ahem ... mischaracterized, some of his testimony to Congress, and that is all the President needed to fire him.
Now, I expect many will say Rudy G., John Bolton, Trey Gowdy will be discussed as replacements but I sense it will be a surprising and a damned good pick. Just like Gorsuch was an outstanding pick for SCOTUS, the pick for FBI Director will be outstanding.
