The original series was the best adaptation of a book ever. It is literally impossible to improve. The casting, locations and acting perfectly matched the stories. It exemplifies wholesome and innocent entertainment.
It sickens me to think what improvements theyll add: feminism rather than strong women of character; explicit sexuality or lesbianism; envy; token racial and gender misrepresentation? It will end up like modern San Francisco: filled with perversion and excrement.
In the book, Anne is pretty off the wall, and I think the series does a great job capturing her personality. I think we are through episode 6 now, and the homosexual propaganda has not let up.
The story lines are still interesting, but the propaganda is obvious enough for our kids to see it (ages 16 and 13.) Rather than just turn it off, we have used the opportunity to discuss some of the issues with them
The abuse flashbacks have toned down.
Well I watched the other episodes....not interested in this rendition of Anne nor the character playing her any further...reasons are obvious.
