The idea of bringing people back from the dead by transplanting their brains into donor bodies may sound like science fiction.
But the bizarre vision could be a reality within three years, according to a controversial Italian surgeon.
Professor Sergio Canavero is famed for his plans to carry out the first human head transplant next year, and says that he will then focus on brain transplants.

I’m still waiting on the whole head transplant thing. Isn’t that past due? I thought it was suppose to have been done by now.
Exactly. If a head/brain transplant was possible then repairing a severed spinal cord would be child’s play and a lot of paralyzed accident victims would be walking around.
But they’re not.
I think “Donor Bodies” should be our new name for the typical brain dead liberal. Plenty of space upstairs and some of them are even organically raised!!!!

When a body is frozen, every cell is destroyed as the ice crystalizes and expands through the cell walls. How do you repair them all?

I think you could remove her brain, tiny as it is, and just leave it sitting on the table until 2020 and re-insert it in a donor body and she would be smarter than before.

Before this, there will be a solid method for reestablishing broken spinal nerve connections...and of course, though unrelated, a cure for male pattern baldness (more money in the baldness cure, of course).;-)
That said, we might awaken some frozen brains, but they will exist in chemical solutions and communicate through electron detectors and be translated by computers.

The fact that this guy says that there will be head transplants in 36 months comes as absolutely no surprise to me. It is by no means the biggest and most ridiculous of lies I have heard come out of a straight-faced surgeon. Not even close.
BTW 36 months LOL I won't even have my car paid off by then.
