“Disrespect” was a noun when I was in school from around 1951 to 1967. So the word was co-opted and made a verb. Nowadays, many kids probably have no clue about nouns and verbs and their differences. Like the same problems about male and female.

I’ve no skin in this but this is another example of the downward trend in our society when women think so little of men that they believe they’re justified in hitting them.

Not to justify his actions, I’ll assume what is being really said here is “he went too far”. He has every right to defend himself when assaulted, regardless of the gender of the attacker.

...it’s on both sides, but yes, most likely, he’ll be lucky to play in the NFL given the current political nature of the league.
