2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs Discussion Thread

I’ve expressed support here for the Pens on account of their style of play and overall grit. That said, it was impressive that the Preds — whose nose-to-the-grindstone way is also appealing — got 6 goals on 18 shots tonight. I can’t recall anything like that.

Yes, way amazing. I was afraid there for a moment listening in the car. When the Ducks tied it up. I was desperate for the Preds to have their shot at the cup.

Happy at the win, truly amazing the shot / goal ratio. But then I went to mush. I actually am a Ducks fan too, just not as much, as my two oldest sons were rooting for the Ducks. And it hurt to see the guys crying. I’m a softie. We skated last year on their ice, we lived there. Hockey can be heartbreaking.

I think the Pens will win their series. I’m concerned about the Preds vs them, but I’ll be rooting.

I hate to see family favorites lose too (even when it was the Yankees -- but I digress). The Ducks showed in the past they could win the Cup. I think the Preds have the character to do it, and an off-the-charts goaltender, so let's see if they can skate with the Pens.

If the Sens somehow come back against the Pens, I'm all in for the Preds.

Pens did everything better except score.

Unless you count that disallowed goal.

But it’s on to game 7!

I thought it was a goal. The league said no. Hopefully game 7 is better. Sullivan says Hornquist and Schultz might play. That might help.

I wish the officiating was consistent. But it seems to vanish during the playoffs. You get a bunch of ridiculous calls and non-calls. When can we get rid of puck over the glass as a penalty? Just do a face-off in the offender’s zone and call it done. And intent to blow has got to go.

Thanks! Tuesday evening’s game was intense, to say the least. Can’t wait for Game 7 — and then I can only imagine what the Final will be like!
