BOSTON (WHDH) - After six days of deliberations, the jury in the double-murder trial of Aaron Hernandez found him not guilty for the 2012 murders of two men in Bostons South End.
The former New England Patriots tight end was on trial for the killings of Safiro Furtado and Daniel de Abreu after one of them accidentally spilled a drink on him at the Cure Lounge.
Throughout the trial, his lawyers argued that it was Hernandezs friend, Alexander Bradley, who shot the men in a drug deal while parked at a stop light.

Maybe they should have moved the trial to a more neutral city, as the Boston fans on the jury were dreaming of getting him back for the Pats.
“I thought he did it- was it just lack of evidence?”
They couldn’t prove which one in the car did the actual shooting.
Perhaps he can claim he is an illegal immigrant and should be sent back to SA.
Jury wanted to get home for the Easter weekend.

After he finishes his present life sentence?
No, it means he killed Odin Lloyd for nothing. He killed the two men he is accused of killing, and Odin Lloyd as well, and he would killed others sooner of later if he hadn't been stopped. He's a loser.
It could help his appeal on the first murder trial.
Like I said, they were “dreaming” You know Pat fans.
Wow, had to read that article several times to figure it out. Turns out Hernandez was already serving life for another murder and this was just an additional incident in his life but found not guilty............
Touche - Read the thread before you post as well ;-)
If he “had it all” he wouldn’t be in the spot he is in now.
Should say “he had more than me so why couldn’t he be happy?”
Stuff, things, status is nothing and many of the people who have it are the most miserable people you will ever meet.
“Hernandez, 27, is already serving a life sentence for the 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd, a semi-professional football player who was dating the sister of Hernandezs fiancee.”
Pretty much wasted tax dollars on him. Either way the verdict went, it wouldn’t have changed a thing.
Just a reminder, his current conviction is on appeal.
Even if he got the conviction overturned, I don’t think any NFL team would touch him nor would the league allow it.
If he got out, I wonder how long he would live given the feelings of the guy he shot (who is in jail for 5 more years) who testified at this trial.
“Maybe they should have moved the trial to a more neutral city, as the Boston fans on the jury were dreaming of getting him back for the Pats.”
The NFL would never allow him back into the game if he got out of prison somehow. They are ridiculously concerned about their public image.
/sarcasm
Oh, give it enough time, life in prison usually NEVER means that...
Fun fact: Hernandez's lawyer (Jose Baez) is the same one who got Casey Anthony acquitted.
He's still never lost a murder trial. Perfect record.
As someone else has probably mentioned (haven't read the whole comment stack yet), it means he's only a one-time loser, having already been convicted of murdering an associate.
Frankly, I thought he looked guilty, guilty, guilty. And, I'm a Pats fan.
Will Bill Belichek start him next season?
He is already serving a life sentence for another murder.
