Knowing how much her daughter, Gracie, wanted to attend the dance even though her father was out of the picture, Amy Peterson, of Henry County, Georgia, decided she'd take her daughter to the dance.
The conform to the dance's theme though, the duo decided that Amy would attend dressed up like a man.

shut up. You are defending a woman who did not bother to bring a father into her child’s life now she wants other girls to suffer for it.

This is rash judgment and it makes further back-and-forth rather a wasted effort.
I do feel sorry for the little girl, because the mother did not make use of the reasonable accommodation offered to her, that she could have recruited any male neighbor, relative or friend as her daughter’s dance partner.

I feel sorry for the little girl because her mom could not pick the right dick to get pregnant by in the first place.
Then on top of that she does not do as you say, get a grandfather, uncle or other male relative! NO it has to be “all about her”, look at me I’m mommy and daddy. No she’s not a daddy.
Now she wants to ruin it for all other little girls who’s mommies did pick the right dick and do have daddies. This is why the child is being teased by other children. They know what is going on.

I just wonder if she had supportive people she could have called on. If she was truly a slut as she’s been called here she could just have her latest man go for her. From the taunts of the other kids it sounds like there was not a boyfriend around. If this mom didn’t have a church and mostly stayed to herself there may not have been someone to ask.
We don’t know her situation. She could have a very lonely existence with few options. Or not. We don’t know. This is why listening is so important.
It would be good for us all to open our eyes and see the single moms who might be lonely and in need of friendship.

I grew up kinda like this little girl...No Father figure around (my Mother made sure of that)...the LAST thing I would have wanted was my Mother taking me to a FATHER/DAUGHTER dance....sheesh.

I think it’s partly because of the message she inadvertently sends...that a woman can substitute for an absent father. We’ve seen how well that has worked out in the black community. Sure, she was trying to do something nice for her daughter, but it’s just wrong for a cross-dressing woman to show up as “dad.” With all the options women have when it comes to birth control and reproductive choice, it’s difficult not to lay responsibility for the plague of single motherhood at their feet. I do feel sorry for the fatherless girl, but treating single motherhood as anything other than the civilizational cancer that it is has gotten America nowhere good. We should not applaud or even normalize the behavior. Hopefully that doesn’t come across as “hate,” but if so I still prefer it to the weaponized empathy the Left has beaten us down with for decades.

Jesus did not publicly shame this woman. He privately told her to go and sin no more.
You said you would throw the first stone. Either you believe you are without sin or you are willing to disobey Jesus’ command that whoever is without sin could throw the first stone.
Obviously we need to teach and preach the commands of God. Sexual immorality - like gossip and lovelessness - is sin, and we need to say that. When we have a relationship with a person we can show them that God’s way is best for them and for everybody else. Knowing that we speak in love for their good gives them a reason to listen.
People DID wallow in sin back then. That’s why Jesus had to speak so harshly to the Pharisees and scribes. It was just a different KIND of sin. Loveless self-righteousness.

What ever happened to shame? We used to have this you know. We used to put unmarred pregnant women in convents then put the babies up for adoption.
