Judge Andrew Napolitano may be temporarily sidelined at Fox News, but he’s been telling friends and associates that he could be in for a big promotion — to the Supreme Court.
After meeting with President Trump twice during the transition, first in December and again in mid-January, the Newark, N.J.-born television personality told several people that Trump said he was on the list of judges from whom he was selecting a nominee for the high court.
“He said, ‘Trump said I’m on the list,’” said a source who spoke with Napolitano shortly after one of his meetings with the then president-elect. “He’s been saying that since the transition.”
Friends warned Napolitano not to take the president too literally – or seriously. “He'll take your call and invite you to the Oval Office, but he just wants you to say nice things about him on TV,” the source says he told Napolitano at the time. But that didn’t sink the ambitious judge’s hopes.
Trump released a list of potential replacements for the late Justice Antonin Scalia before the election, vowing to select Scalia’s replacement from that list — and followed through, tapping Tenth Circuit judge Neil Gorsuch for the nomination in January. Napolitano’s name did not appear on any public list.
This is another one of these fakest of fake news stories Pollutico is pushing. Another “unnamed source” yarn.
Like hell he is. He’s 66 years old. What a waste of a pick. The current nominee is 49. All things being equal, a 49 year old nominee will be on the court for 17 more years.
And Cruz is even younger.
I’d love for Cruz to be on the SC. I am not sure if I would enjoy his voting record the most or watch him cut the libtard justice’s logic to shred time and again.

Fake Fake Fake. Nobody who was a TV personality would be nominated for SCOTUS, they know it. I don’t think they would even think they could pass it off as true — if they were just bragging.
People like that tend to sometimes die. Not everything needs to be a grand Obama conspiracy.
I mean, Sandy Hook was an Obama plot to pass gun control; Obama had Scalia murdered to get a Supreme Court seat? Yet no federal gun control was passed by Congress as a direct result of that school shooting, and Obama didn't fill Scalia's Supreme Court seat. If these really were nefarious Obama administration conspiracies, then Obama is an even bigger failure than I ever dreamed.

I agree about Cruz and SCOTUS. Say what you will about the guy, he does have a brilliant legal mind. And he would stay faithful to the Constitution.
He’d be fun to watch, you’re right about that. But the Supreme Court almost never allows cameras, so we’d have to settle for reading his opinions.

Let the confirmation hearing be a high level political debate-right up Cruz’ alley. Let the whole country see what fools are on the other side. Should he be rejected(filibuster) THEN do it a 2nd time(nuclear). Beat them at their owe game.

Didn’t Trump make his list of SCOTUS preferences public a long time ago — before the election? He said he’d only choose from that list, I think. I don’t think Judge N. was on it (but I could be wrong).

If for no other reason (and there are plenty), the RATS would being up every negative thing he ever said about Trump (and, again, there are plenty), then ask him “were you lying then or are you lying now?”.
Correct. I knew Andrew Breitbart, and know much better his close friends who ALL warned him he was heading for a heart attack because of his weight & general stress & ill health.
