Apparently, if a President who is liked by the media can't get something passed, it's the fault of Congress. If a President they dislike deals with the same reality, it's because he's a "lame duck" and a "failure."
I put the blame for the healthcare reform not coming to vote squarely on the camp of a dysfunctional Congress (including a factionalized Republican Party), right where it belongs. What else could the President do in this situation?
I think you're right, unfortunately.
After much reflection, I think Trump is sitting pretty good here.
The Freedom Caucus should have supported him, but if it is not in the cards . . . well . . . they are now in an exposed position going forward.
Even with the Bill’s deep flaws, I think they should have supported our President. Of course I like their approach far better than Ryan-care; but, they need to recognize they represent a minority position that we LOVE—but which could NEVER have beaten Hillary and even had the great coattails to save the Senate.
Trump is leading nationally. They need to consider backing his plays from now on.
