JFK called Hitler 'the stuff of legends': Secret diary reveals future president's fascination with…

John F. Kennedy referred to Adolf Hitler as having “the stuff of which legends are made” in a diary entry written shortly after visiting Germany in 1945.

Kennedy, then a fresh-faced 28-year-old, traveled to Hitler’s bomb-ravaged Bavarian Berghof residence and Eagle’s Nest mountain retreat during a tour of Germany while serving as a war correspondent for Hearst newspapers. And now excerpts from the diary, which were revealed by People Magazine, have shed light on just how the man who would become president thought about the genocidal German leader.

“You can easily understand how that within a few years Hitler will emerge from the hatred that surrounds him now as one of the most significant figures who ever lived,” Kennedy wrote. “He had boundless ambition for his country which rendered him a menace to the peace of the world, but he had a mystery about him in the way he lived and in the manner of his death that will live and grow after him. He had in him the stuff of which legends are made.”

The controversial passages have now been revealed after the diary’s owner, Deirdre Henderson, arranged to have it auctioned off through RR Auction in Boston. …

I know you probably know this, but the swastika was widely used in the US as a good-luck symbol before Hitler appropriated it for the Nazis. I have a pre stamped envelope from the US Canal Zone in the 20s with swastikas surrounding the main design.

And while we rightly remember Hitler for the monster he was, he did achieve some of his goals. The Jews were effectively removed from Europe and Britain ceased being a world power. For all of its valiant efforts fighting Hitler, Britain lost its Empire and a great deal of its wealth.

Time wise, it is interesting to contemplate their veto on Israel’s right to become a country again. It is biblical that it would happen and they took the wrong turn.

Some people may not be capable of discerning differences.

Until the mid 1930’s the US 45th Division had a Swastika shoulder patch.

A coward maybe, but certainly weak, a man with too little of himself inside to express his own will without leaning on someone else to provide it for him,

They both looked very small and inconsequential later in life, which I suppose its because they were,

Well, one has to name differences to discern them.

I’ve been on a patrol boat on pitch black night patrols and it would be easier than you think to get hit by a much bigger ship. I don’t fault him for that. And he showed great courage in swimming out with a lamp at night. For all his faults he wasn’t a coward like the entire RAT leadership is today. He would spit on them.

Jackie Kennedy was born in 1929, so the swastika was already appropriated by the NSDAP by the time she was born, never mind the time the photo was taken.

Around 1974 I was working as a claims rep for social security.

One day a guy applied for retirement and it turned out he had been a PT boat captain in Kennedy’s squadron. He was a pleasant guy and real sharp. I took the opportunity to hear a few war stories.

I asked him about Kennedy. He said that he was well liked by the other captains. He also said getting rammed was just about the worst thing which could happen to a PT boat commander.

45th ID used a swastika as their shoulder patch until the 1930s.

Good thing we defeated Hitler, though, cuz otherwise there’d be real chaos in Europe today, and there would be anti-semitism, and stuff, right?

Plus we would wonder if we really had any rights here in America, and we might not have two fully distinct and viable political parties.

Good thing we did all that, huh..?

We were already taken over by the socialists by then. Who else would have installed Adenauer in West Germany after WWII and then hand over de-Nazification to him a mere two years afterwards? Never mind the UN charter being designed by Alger Hiss as a clone of the 1936 USSR constitution. The writing was on the wall and the globalists were out to shut down anyone who dared to read it out loud.

PS. Adolf did declare war on us in 1941, so we were in it anyway. There was a significant difference in reaction to that versus how the Mullahs repeatedly declare war on us these days, but the left was setting us up for reacting like that ever since 1945.
