Technically having a career is NOT the same as being relevent, i.e., actually churning out hits that (mostly) the young crowd supports. RUSH I’m not sure was ever really a hit-generator as CB was, but they certainly are not on the charts now. Not in the top 30, which is where it’s really at.

Thanks, didn’t know about Ding a Ling’s previous life. At Washington U. in St. Louis, that was the first time any of us had heard it, but we were in our early 20s.It created quite a “naughty” stir at the concert, and a perfect song to get the mostly drunk audience staying in the palm of your hand, not that there was any question about that. When his show was over, our bass guitarist, a kid of barely 18, ill-advisedly went over to him, star-struck, and said something like “Mr Berry, it was a great honor to be on the same stage as you....I know I could never be as great as you.....” And Berry, predictably said....”Yeah....I heard you....you’re right”
