Massachusetts never outlawed the death penalty. The U.S. Supreme Court did. The Great and General Court never got around to passing a new death penalty bill that could pass “Constitutional Muster.” What a farce. After a couple of pedophiles killed young Jeffery Curley in 1998, the state almost reinstated the death penalty, but the fix was in.

The original poster (to whom I was responding) was glad these incidents were minimized by lack of access by said creature; nothing wrong with that.
