Last Gasp Of The Global Warming Scam: Treating You Like An Idiot
Manhattan Contrarian ^ | 11 Mar, 2017 | Francis Menton

On Thursday, new EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt appeared on CNBC's "Squawk Box," and made a statement that has gotten a lot of attention. The statement was: "I think that measuring with precision human activity on the climate is something very challenging to do and there's tremendous disagreement about the degree of impact, so, no, I would not agree that it's a primary contributor to the global warming that we see."

I would have said that that statement was just a rather obvious truism. I mean, we have an enormously complex climate system, affected by literally dozens of factors, many of them hugely larger than us puny little humans -- things like the sun, solar wind, oceans, clouds, volcanoes, aerosols, multiple atmospheric "greenhouse gases" of which water vapor is the dominant one, tilt of the earth's axis, position of the solar system in the galaxy, and plenty of other things that we don't even know about. And in the era of reasonably good measurements, world average temperatures (a poorly defined concept to begin with) have varied within a range of around one to two degrees, with the accuracy of measurement not much less than the amplitude of the variation. With all that going on, does somebody claim to have the method to know precisely how much of the variation in temperatures derives from human activities? To what level of accuracy? Tenths -- or hundredths -- of one degree? Really? Where's the proof? The whole concept is inherently implausible. I don't even understand how Pruitt's statement is remotely controversial.

Well, needless to say, Pruitt's statement has caused a total freakout in the progressive press and media.

Let's ask Bill Nye the Science Guy!

He's a climatologist!

Oh, wait...

The left sees their dream of controlling the means of production fading away.

Poor Algore. His wife has left him. He must seek happiness in the arms of a hooker. His kids find him annoying.

What is left to do but hop off a roof, or dive into the Potomac?

Aside from all the BS “science” and “Consensus” claimed as the basis for proof of man made global warming, I ask, “Where is there proof that global warming is bad?”

We constantly hear; rising oceans, droughts, floods, more bigger hurricanes, tornadoes, cascading runaway this and that....

There is just as much of a hole in the science about a warmer planet as there is for it’s cause. We are in the midst of and inter-glacial warming period for this planet. It might happen that humans will last long enough to see the coming of the next ice age. Will we finally be done with this nonsense when that time comes? Or will the ice age be caused by the previous man made global warming?

Yeah! WTH? We moved 2,500 miles west and to an elevation of 5,200 ft to avoid the predicted flooding in FL. Well that and to get away from the humidity, skeeters, hurricanes, gators etc. So, what happened to the NYC blizzard? Did algore NOT show up? That’s usually the sign of impending winter weather.

I think european whites will find a way to survive. The real question is: will we drag the africans, muslims, and hispanics along when resources will probably be scarce?

LOL...All these “climate experts” and weather service ultra expensive equipment can’t accurately predict two days ahead much less 50 years...

It shows the ignorance of a lot of people that believe in this AGW BS....

If you look at history warming periods (WHEN THEY ACTUALLY OCCUR!) correlate to the flowering of civilizations - the Indus Valley, Sumer & the early Mesopotamian civilizations, rise of Rome, etc. (Not by any means a complete or chronologically accurate list, just off the top of my head!) Cooling periods the opposite! Usually cooling periods mean droughts, short harvests, etc.

In short:
warm = food = life!
cool = no food = death!

Bill Nye is apparently too stupid to understand that!
What do they teach in the undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program at Cornell?

Somebody called into Rush the other day stating that China, the worst polluter ever, is spending billions upon billions of yaun? to build military bases at sea, not much above sea level. She noted if the the Chinese thought those island bases were going to be under water in the near future they would never waste the money.

My all time favorite used to be on wiki:

“Global Temperatures during The Medieval Warming Period were 1/10 degree cooler than temperatures of the current warming period.”

Who’d thunk tree rings were accurate to 1/10 of a degree Celsius.

LOL! Apparently NOT ‘climatological consequences of human input and it’s negligible effect on weather’.

I have no idea what the average temperature of my house is at any given time. If I took temperature in each room do I weight by cubic feet? Do I weight rooms with exterior walls different? Do I account for open doors during exit and entrance? Do I adjust for oven, dryer, refrigerator, lights, number of people to account for changes. Do I account for location of thermometers?

If I cannot accurately get comparable temperatures for my home , how likely can it be done for the globe?

I think he was drunk, stoned or both all through his thermodynamics classes and was passed because the prof was tired of seeing him. Prof probably thought,” Heck he’s going to do stand-up comedy anyway! He is not going to use thermo! This way I am doing him a favor getting him out of here.”.
