At no time was Donald Trump ever accepted as one of their own by the Hollywood elite, no matter what he did on TV, no matter his Screen Actors Guild pension benefits or anything else related to any TV or movie credits he has.
His status is as close to the Hollywood elites, like Clooney, as is the forty year career of a janitor at a Hollywood movie studio.
Being in a yard with the elites, never makes someone one of them. Actors, directors and others with long careers in Hollywood know that, particularly if they are not on the political Left.
