NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.
When Westminster College student Connor Cox received a pair of care packages from his mother he expected to find cookies.
Instead, Cox found the box was full of empty soda cans, used tissues and other trash. Confused, he opened the second box and found even more trash inside.

Once a month, mom would make her incredible chocolate chips cookies and send them to me in college.
Now, this was in the day B4 *Packing Peanuts* had been invented. She used to pack them in a big dress box filled with popcorn, to prevent breakage.
Even though the popcorn was unsalted...we’d eat every last kernel also. Starving kids that we were!
THX Mom. You were the best!
I think everyone dissing this mom and her kid, need to lighten up. This mom is raising good kid, and not letting him off the hook. He’ll remember to be responsible. And down the road, will make a good *catch* as a husband.
That’s my take, FWIW. Haters gonna hate. :)

Oh gosh... you did that too?! I thought we were the only ones! At 16, she now laughs about it and has told her much younger sister NOT to slam doors when she gets into middle school. LOL! :)
The USPS needs the business.
This mom should be credited with creating her *own* care package .... what’s with the many [apparently successful] businesses that send the collegiate a care package ordered by a parent?
I love it! You turned the conflict upside down without creating a scene. Avoided a lot of drama. Excellent! :D
I once left a couple plates on an end table. My mom put them in my car.
I put them on the driveway and left for work.
We had a good laugh but I got the perfect point
Looks like the computer room when the 15 yr old grandson spends the night. Have to make him clean the crap up before he leaves. I made his father and uncle clean their rooms, make beds. Same applies to grandson. Don’t comply, don’t come over to use the fast internet you don’t have.
Monk - a show really missed. In the middle of 24/7 in watching the episodes and suddenly it was removed from the line up. When it returns (anyone’s guess) a priority to continue watching. BTW, do remember the episode re trash.

What if she was the one in the accident before he got to see her again after disrespecting her?
I don’t understand this young generation, who put EVERYTHING that happens to them out there for everyone to see. I can’t quite figure it out, but what’s at the heart of this behavior doesn’t strike me as a good thing.

I used to get a kick out of watching the Japanese students opening their care packages from home nearly 40 years ago.
Packs of dried fish/squid/seaweed, etc. seemed much more weird and exotic back then.
The co-worker had a stunned look on his face and shockingly replied " You're not on facebook?...That's weired....that's very weird".
Perhaps this *drill* my own mother recited to usins was rekindled by this story....

My younger son used to leave the bathroom trashed with soda cans all over the vanity until one night he got into bed and found them all at his feet under the cover.
When I was in graduate school I had a roommate who always left the kitchen a total, fermenting mess. He finally took notice when I piled up all the dirty dishes on his bed.
