Do over:

My understanding is all the major hoteliers are planning to build plush new ones [true? or not?]. I could see Cuba being turned into a theme-park kind of thing with 1950’s American cars and Hemingway-type bars with rum-themed drinks.

If not, what else?

Speaking of the old 50s era cars, I had heard that some old car enthusiasts wanted to go to Cuba, just to see the old cars.

I have a feeling the fans of old cars will be disappointed. The old cars in Cuba are not exactly in mint condition. If they expect to see something that you would see at a car show here in America, where the owners take great care of their old cars and show them off, they are going to be very disappointed in Cuba.
