An armed robber in north St. Louis County was blindsided by a not-so-passive bystander, who pulled out a gun of his own and opened fire, authorities say.
Tre'von Johnson, 24, was in the midst of a stickup at 1:40 a.m this morning when the victim's neighbor intervened, according to St. Louis County Police. The neighbor peppered Johnson with bullets as the would-be thief ducked back in his vehicle and sped off.
The incident happened in the 1700 block of Bradshaw Drive in north county's Dellwood municipality.
Police found Johnson, who lives nearby on Harneyworld Drive, shortly after at the hospital, where he was being treated for multiple gunshot wounds. Officers found more bullet holes in his vehicle, authorities say.
Johnson survived the misadventure and is being held on $50,000 bond. He has a separate gun case set for trial this May.
The neighbor isn't expected to face any charges.
Tre’von... pronounced “Tray-von.”
Obama-son, no doubt?
Someone needs a bigger (caliber) gun.
Another Trayvon? Is that a popular name or something?
Would Obama’s son look just like him?
I’d like having a nice neighbor like that. Just in case.
“Someone needs a bigger (caliber) gun.”
Or more target practice
This, not ‘gun control’, is how you stop ‘gun violence’.
Better ammo. FMJ is fine for targets, but one needs good hollow points for serious business.
That name come with a lot of baggage.
Just like you rarely hear of American man under the age of 50
named Adolph.
Maybe the neighbor told the perp to dance and the bullets ricocheted off the ground "Come on boy, let's see you dance!". Just saying...
What’s in a name, you ask....
Does that apostrophe mean I have to pronounce it with a little stutter, like between the two i’s in Hawai’i?
A guess that it was 22lr. Lots of hits on the perp as well as the car, but nothing incapacitating.
It was enough to stop the attacker.
22lr is fine for squirrels and rabbits, but 2 legged varmints require something larger.
I recall a nut job, a while back tried to name his son Adolph Hitler, a Judge intervened for the sake of the kid.
The neighbor stopped the threat, so the caliber he used is almost beside the point (IOW, the caliber he used was enough to stop the threat).
Shot placement is king. Three hits with a .22 CCI Stinger beats the hell out of a miss with a .454 Casull.
Now, that does not mean my EDC is a .22. My EDCs begin with a 3: 9mm (i.e., .355) and .38 (i.e., .357), though I sometimes carry a .380 ACP, depending on the weather. I carry “the 3s” because I shoot them very well. So, I am comfortable and confident with them. Other people will opt for what they are comfortable with, no matter what number the caliber begins with, as that’s the way it should be.
I recall a story like that. It may be the same one.The wife was in on it too. They had a daughter named Himmler.
The CPS took the children away. I thought that was sad, because the kids obviously loved their parents. However, if the adults were too dense or too zealous to understand how such names would make the child’s life very difficult, they were not fit to make that choice.
If you’re comfortable with it and can put the shots on target that’s most of the battle right there.

Didn’t Naven(or Neville)JOHNSON grow up “a poor black child”?
Well, he seems to have put enough on target, he just didn’t do enough damage.
