LINK

It is 2min 20sec long(It is repeated again. So the whole video is over 5 min long.) It starts with Kim Jong-nam walking in. It shows the moments of attack from different angles. The footage of actual attack starts at 43 seconds into the video. He was seen walking around after the attack, talking to securities and escorted into some place(probably clinic.)

Anyone know what was used? It must be potent stuff, since its reported as a “scratch” rather than an injection.

They are still testing. It won't surprise me that they got additional help from outside.

None of them are women. They claim a woman did the attack.

They are the N. Korean operatives who planned the attack. They monitored the entire situation near the scene of attack. Once it was complete, they hopped on the plane and left, abandoning the women who did the actual hit.

Local police were initially pursuing 2 women and 4 men. Women were caught. One of N. Koreans involved was also caught. It turned out more N. Koreans were involved. Four of them fled to N. Korea. There are two or three still at large. Of four men who fled, one of them is a known entity, a senior operative who was stationed in Malaysia. Two others were also said to be agents operating in this region. The fourth flew from Pyongyang to Kuala Lumpur and joined the team just before the operation.

Authorities believe it's either ricin or tetrodotoxin, the killer ingredient in puffer fish.

It’s domestic and actually kind of good. I think it’s on Netflix.

...either ricin or tetrodotoxin...

I doubt it was ricin because of the quick action. Some years ago I read an article about ricin, and was impressed by the efficiency of the poison and its method of action. Each active molecule of ricin attaches to a ribosome in the mitochondria of one cell, permanently knocking out its energy metabolism. It takes some hours for that to take effect, and Mr. Kim was affected in minutes.

I don't know anything about the mechanism of tetrodotoxin, but as you say, it is the puffer fish toxin. It seems, well, Asian, which is suitable here.
