A great Trump, never had a problem with it.

A Fordian slip?

Don't have to worry about that any more. Isn't Ford making the 150, at least in part, out of thick aluminum foil these days?

True that and the entire outer shell of the bed of my S'crew is fiberglass. The bed is metal covered by a plastic bed liner.

You don’t usually see dazzle camouflage on the road these days.

Butt ugly - my first thought, too. I liked the conventional looks of the old Rangers.

Ford playing it safe. I think Chevy has the styling edge these days with their squared off fender openings.

That’s not the same as the foreign market Ranger currently in production, which is a good-looking vehicle. It’s got the same, blobby and annoying upsweep to the body beneath the windows rather than being linear, that the Chevy Colorado has. Same, same, same, good grief can’t they break away from convention, ever? The full size Ford trucks aren’t styled that way, why should the Ranger be, especially if it’s based upon the foreign market Ranger, a good looking vehicle?

I hate focus group driven product development and marketing, I really do. People can’t tell you anything they don’t already know, so you get ever more finely honed sameness. Bleh.

I have a 1993 Ford Ranger with over 250,000 miles on it. Click on my name to see it and also, say hi to the dogs.

I need a new truck.

My existing truck will not last until 2019 as it has 201,000 miles on it and is a 2001.

I would rather buy the new Ranger, but will settle for the Tacoma in crew cab and longer bed.

If Toyota would fancy-up their interior I would prefer them.

Have had several SportTracs and really loved them. DH Ford employee was able to lease them from Ford with the management program. Had a new car every year, sometimes two. My fav was the the SportTrac Adrenalin. Fire-engine red. Great for me, but DH would have rather had a full size.

Wanted a small truck a few years ago and wound up with the Nissan Frontier. Built in Mississippi and 75% of parts are U.S. made (heard transmission is from Japan). It’s been a good one so far.

Agree - this is an ugly one. It will rattle apart in a few years.

My '14 F250 XL is falling apart - tailgate peeling apart, too flimsy and light. Drink holder fell off, cloth interior ripping. It's not even a work truck - I'm not hauling maintenance crews everyday!

Must have been a bad year. My ‘13 Silverado was a true POS.

Now the f150s are aluminum bodies. Pain in the ass to fix compared to steel.

"...but all the Ranger needed was 4 doors to make it much more functional."

Both of mine were/are four-doors. Can sit two people back there in a pinch, but more realistically good for groceries, bug-out-bag, or dry camping gear.
