The Tea Party
Vanity

Posted on 02/17/2017 6:29:54 PM PST by 12chachacha

I need to get something off of my chest. I talked to an old friend today. Had not talked to her in years. The subject of the election and politics came up and I informed her that I was an ardent Tea Party supporter.

I am a true believer in the Tea Party and its stated mission and endorsement of a smaller less powerful federal government that adheres and limits itself to the powers granted to it by our constitution.

Back to the conversation and here is where it got ugly fast. Her response to my admitted preference for the Tea Party was thus, "Oh my God, that is such a racist organization." She might have been a liberal democrat, yep, ya think? I told her that I did not want to talk to her anymore (Gee, I don't know why, she only called me a racist) and goodbye.

This got me thinking about why I dislike democrats. Remember back when the Tea Party was formed, just before Obamacare was passed? Do you remember how they had to delegitimize the opposition which was primarily the Tea Party at that time? Do you remember how they lied through their teeth along with their partners in the media when they claimed that we were a racist organization, over and over and over again? Do you remember when Elijah Cummings tried to frame us, as a matter of fact he did frame us along with a willing accomplice, the media, which was quite willing to go along despite ample evidence to the contrary?

And do you remember how thousands and thousands of actual racists in our country heard on TV that the Tea Party was a racist organization and then said to their own racist selves "Hellfire, since I'm a dang racist I want to be in the Tea Party Too!" FYI, you know this but I will say it anyway, in my 15 (or so) years on this site I have never read anything even remotely racist. Never.

It seems like we got saddled with those illiterate racist creeps for all time.

Yes sir and yes maa'm, I was reminded why there is at least one reason why I don't like establishment democrats.

I was also reminded of this. Every time I get down about things I can count on Free Republic to pick me up and remind me that I am on the correct side of the issues when I stand here with my friends. I am on the correct side of the issues and I am standing on moral high ground, my friends don't step into the gutter to get their way like the opposition party does. For the most part we take the righteous path. We are the good guys.

All of this and you guys make me laugh like hell, I can't believe some of the wit in this place.

Feeling a lot better, audios amigos, you racist bastards!

One of reasons why trump attacks the lies and liars quickly and repeatedly.

I think the first thing to ask those people who make blanket statements like that.. give me proof... give me an instance where they are racist... and they can’t just say the talking points... GIVE the actual facts on how the Tea Party is a racist organization. They have to have seen it with their own eyes... there is no other way for them to say such.. BUT they can’t come up with a fact... they don’t have any.. they just don’t like Trump
The news media are lying.. they can’t quote a reporter. They can’t come up with a single fact where they can say the Tea Party is racist.

Since they accuse in generalities, they do not have any more than just hearsay.. and they can’t hang their hats on just hearsay. They can be caught in their own lies.

When the campaigns were going on, I was on FB defending Trump when they were spouting off about who he was, according to the media... I had my ammunition on hillary... I didn’t argue with them.. ya’ can’t change their minds by arguing... I pointed out a few good things about Trump .. stories from before he was campaigning... items I had the facts on... I told them their alterative was the criminal.. was the one who sold parts of our country to foreign governments and took their money... and they’d get ugly real fast. I told them it was not I who was name calling.. it was them... I then put my paragraph of hillary crimes and a link to who the clintons were in Arkansas.. and told them to read.. research.. and educate themselves. Usually, that was the last I’d hear from them. They did not argue with facts.. for they had none. I figured there were those who would read what I put on FB in that answer.. and it might change more minds than I would know.

They have no facts.. they are not educated enough to know anything past what they heard.. and we all know if a blank empty mind hears anything often enough, they believe it.. and not only believe it.. they repeat it.

They are the most judgmental people on the earth.. and women are the worst of the worst.. they are bossy and don’t care how rude they are.

The youth are the ones who think they know everything.. They vote or have opinions, usually on just one personal item.. they don’t care what happens to the country.. just to them. They irritate me to no end.. for they have not lived long enough to know how ridiculous they sound.

Scott Adams says, “my view on abortion is that the most credible laws in that area are the ones that have the support of the most women.”

Applying that standard, the most credible laws on slavery are the ones that have the support of the most slave owners.

The Tea Party and the Women's March and other left wing outbursts have one thing in common:

They seem to be the purest of current forms of their belief system.

The TEA Party is good. They believe in individual liberty and freedom. They believe people of all "groups" identified by the left have an ability to control their own destiny. They believe that the biggest thing holding people back is that someone has convinced them that they are not capable of getting past what the liberals say is the limit placed in front of them by some shadowy people on the other side.

The leftist resisters are lazy and many live with their parents. They believe they should be able to live off the work of others. They somehow seem to be narcissist and think they should be running the lives of those they want to parascitize.

The LEFT is so ADRIFT from the horrible teaching they have received; it has left them without any guidelines .. so they are blown by the wind of every evil doctrine.

The “evil doctrine” masks itself as a feel-good, be nice to other cultures mantra. When in reality, it is a deception which will destroy many lives.

Ask her this:

Do you remember when obama was elected in 2008 and the conservatives were so angry that they rioted and smashed store windows? You don’t? That’s because it never happened. Also conservative never dressed up like genitalia, either.

Yes. One can always make new friends.

I went through something similar a couple of years ago, when someone I’d known and loved for decades - (and whose intellect I had always respected) - went ‘Obama Crazy’.

It hurt, but it made no sense to try and change her. We just never talked about politics again - and I decided to widen my horizon of Friends.

I believe that the TEA party is a lot bigger than thought and extremely quite as evidenced by the election of President Trump.

Remember, TEA is NOT the sailing ship. It is the WIND.

I basically kicked my high school reunion people to the curb since finding out most of them are whiny liberal fascists who believe everything their radical leadership tells them.

At no time was the Tea Party racist or even had anything to do with race. It was all about getting our federal fiscal house in order and getting back to smaller federal government like you said. Liberals aren’t too bright but they do have a lot of hate built up in them so their leadership uses this by giving the red meat to feed their anger and it works just like in the video with the black guy wanting to shoot a guy’s truck just because it has a Trump bumper sticker. That video may have be a put on but people like that are so ignorant and stupid they will believe it when they hear someone like Al Sharpton say Trump wants to send all blacks back to Africa.

Obviously not true but in the case of that negro and other gang bangers like him; I’d say hell yeah - let’s send them back now.

The Tea Party was the precursor to the Make America Great Again movement that elected Donald Trump.

The culture of racism and hate is mostly on the democrat side.

"Oh my God, that is such a racist organization." [...] I told her that I did not want to talk to her anymore (Gee, I don't know why, she only called me a racist) and goodbye.

I understand your feelings, but I believe that it is a tactical error to "act offended" when someone calls you a racist.

From a rhetorical point of view, the best response is to evince total perplexity, thus forcing the accuser to back up his accusation with facts and arguments.

Since their facts are spotty and their arguments fallacious, it is then easy to quickly reduce them to rubble.

Of course, at some point, they're liable to themselves become "huffy" and "excuse" themselves from the confrontation because they sense that they're losing.

Regards,

I keep changing all the time.

Good - keeps them on their toes and keeps the narrative interesting, at least. LOL!! I admire your philosophical flexibility and willingness to adapt while endorsing your closing thought on not wanting to change again anytime soon.
