New Orleans police are not likely to seek charges against the armed customer who fatally shot a suspected robber Friday night (Feb. 10) in a T-Mobile store, the department said Monday.

"From all accounts it appears there will not be any charges brought forward for this incident, however, it is still being investigated," NOPD spokeswoman Dawne Massey said in an email message.

The as-yet unidentified robbery suspect, 28, was armed when, according to police, he entered the T-Mobile store, 506 St. Andrew St., shortly before 7:30 p.m.

What are the odds that the poor choice selector is a Son Of Barack?

From his EBT or drivers license....D-U-H! /s

I, for one, dread reading the news anymore for the stupidity it enables, as you pointed out. That I need to read multiple sites to get the complete/full picture is atrocious.

If the local DA is a gun grabber, rabid dem, or worse, he might have. They can twist a grand jury fairly easily if they want a indictment.

It won’t happen. The climate down here is very pro self defense.

The as-yet unidentified robbery suspect, 28,

******************

I think that is the writers way of saying the suspect hasn’t been
publically ID. That doesn’t mean the Police don’t know his identity.

Your average phone store isn’t all that spacious. When the bad guy pulls his weapon and starts waving it around, there is rarely time to run away, duck, hide...

Lives were saved.

Good shoot, citizen.

NOLA has had it's own rise in violent crime recently - might be ready to put a foot down on it and make a point of leaving those who deter the bad guys alone.
