Robert Zubrin is a neoconservative who has long written for National Review. He wants a new right-globalist party. "Liberal" here is being used in the European sense.

What used to be “Liberal” needs a new word to define it, since the original one has been distorted and co-opted.

Libertarians are part way there, except for their insane misunderstanding of the roles of borders in the real world.

As in, Gary “What’s an Aleppo” Johnson, are you kidding me?

When I was young one of our dogs got the mange.

Environ-whacko’s think we need the mange, but we don’t.

All we need is ONE liberal to serve as a bad example, someone to mock and laugh at.

One is enough, however.

They can call it the Donor Class Party.

The slogan will be “Open Borders and Cheap Foreign Labor Now and Forever!”

The platform will declare the goal of displacing Americans with roots in the USA with massive Third World immigration and Islamic colonization, in order to disarm any opposition to their rule.

Thank you President Trump for ripping the masks off these evil phonies!

He’s free to start one.

It won’t draw 10% of the vote.

People who embrace the first part of his list all embrace Socialism too.

“America needs a new political party, one opposed to isolationism, protectionism, nativism, authoritarianism, and ecologism, and which supports free enterprise, Constitutional government, human equality, liberty, and dignity, and the defensive alliance of all nations committed to such ideals.”

Some of those ideals are diametrically opposed to one another another...

They oppose isolationism and authoritarianism, but want world wide military interventionism.....

human equality as defined by SJWs goes counter to actual liberty.......

what about the nativism of other countries, are we going to now force japan to to take in barbarians????

This is why libertarians are mostly psychotic as the left, many of their ideals conflict with one another...

Dittoes. Why do we need a Liberal Party as described above?

We already got one. The Libertarian Party.

America already has two globalist parties. What we need is a Nationalist Party to go with our nationalist president.

Almost got whip-lash going to left-field, no? How did this hypothetical ‘Liberal’ group get equated w/ (L), when they agree w/ the issue you posed?

Which ‘conflicts’ do *you* see? The (R) can’t even pass a CC w/o it being a blank check; ‘high ranking’ party members calling for WWIII; ‘comprehensive immigration’; DHS\NSA\TSA...Which of those were (L) ideals, some of which came to pass??

Now, I give my (L) brethren their dues re: borders, abortion, etc. (for F* sake, Gary J.!? WTH?!?!), but your equating the two ranks up there w/ Milo being a fascist Nazi /s

Least (L) aren’t talking outta both sides of their mouths (Gary J.??...UHHH.).

Libertarians are emotional and Social issues, and Intellectual on Economic issues, and emotional on security issues...

Progressive Liberals are emotional on every damned thing...

Aside from the few areas they are wrong, they are directly opposed to 99% of the platform spelled out in the article?

Don’t believe it’s been the (L) in control of D.C. that gave us the likes of: open borders (post-Reagan’s amnesty, let alone post-9/11), CRs, NAS, TSA, TARP, ‘compassionate Conservatism’, 25yr ‘budgets’, 20T in debt, etc.

But them (L) sure live rent free in the heads of some around here....Don’t forget to check under the bed, tonight, for ‘em too!

I checked already. Nothing but dust bunnies. But that's to be expected. From a party that's known for legal dope, 'What's Aleppo?' and not even 4 percent of the vote last year; Liberaltarians are worthless.

“What we need is two less parties of Roosevelts!”

If I understand you correctly, “Roosevelts”, as in more than one, as in TR & FDR, yes, I agree.

FDR a socialist Democrat & TR a progressive Republican.

(Teddy had his own progressive movement going at one time and is hailed by many greenies as getting them started)

But I must commend him for his Rough Rider service at San Juan Hill, where they mopped up Spanish survivors after the Buffalo Soldier Regiments first cleaned their clocks.

It is not possible. The liberal party which he is espousing requires a base of people who are fundamentally honest. That base of people no longer exists

Ha. Some truth there. Never seen a PERFECT Party as of yet; but, at least they (were?) consistent to the ideals\platform.

Do still agree that w/o the welfare state, the need for the wall would be GREATLY diminished (if unnecessary). But, even ‘small govt’ (R) aren’t up for sticking to the Constitution (hell, they can’t even abolish the DoEd in 40+yrs).

Abortion = completely off
Drugs = seem to be as the US was expected, 50 laboratories

We’ve got a Liberal Party...the Uni-party. We’re seeing just how entrenched it is since Jan 20th.

Yep, the (L) are for personal choice and responsibility, not like the party whom couldn’t cobble together a Free Market O’Care replacement over 6 yrs. of “Elect me and I’ll *FIGHT* against O’Care....”.

The pick *was* a complete fuster-cluck, no denying that. Didn’t expect a great turn-out w/ that cow-pie of a choice. I’m hoping they right the ship, but almost went (I) w/ his selection.

Those ‘worthless’ (L) would have pushed your boy easily over the finish-line. But, I understand some people would cut off their own noses instead of brothers-in-arms to forward the cause(s) that overlap.

Guess those pom-poms are hard to drop, regardless of the BIG govt their small govt party gives ‘em.
