I’ve heard good explanations that it was developed to keep warring tribes to not fight so much after they were conquered by Mohammed. It was sold as a religion in order to “unite” the various tribes under one set of social rules.
But - it is nice that ISIS has written pamphlets with “Rules and Guidelines”. I’m guessing it is similar to the free “Pocket Constitutions” I have in the house.
