Rohm was openly homosexual and Hitler knew it.
Rohm had been one of the founders of the German Workers Party, which became the NAZI party. As such he was one of Hitler’s earliest supporters.
Rohm was supposedly the only person allowed to call Hitler by his first name.
By the Night of the Long Knives, 7/1/34, Goring, Himmler, Hess and others were juggling for the fuhrers favor at Rohms expense.
What sealed his fate was the official Armed Forces refused to support Hitler unless the SA was dealt with.
Documents were faked that showed Rohm intended to overthrow Hitler and the SA leadership was killed off and the SA disbanded.
Hitler could have cared less about Rohms sexual proclivities, he was rumored to be something of a pervert himself.
That is really fascinating. Thanks for going into detail. Hitler was a sociopath, beyond a doubt. Sounds like Rohm found out the hard way that it’s hazardous to depend on the good graces of a sociopath from day to day for your very life.
