Everything else aside, wouldn’t that be
American-African?
I’ve heard that Michael Jackson had “vitiligo”, a disorder
that causes the skin to turn white in patches. He did wear
face masks to try to cover that and *may* have bleached it
in patches to try to even out his skin tone. Don’t know
about the plastic surgeries.
The FReeper I was responding to said she didn’t believe Paris was michael jackson’s daughter without a DNA test. Words mean things. Adoptive daughters are still daughters, as are children from donated gametes or embryos.
The FReeper said She didn’t think Paris was MJ’s daughter without a blood test. I know he was a sick pedophile who destroyed lives. But Paris is his daughter.
As opposed to her father declaring he’s a white woman.
"Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know."
Well ........ I don't try to tell my daughters, adopted from China, that they're "white."
I grant that "white" doesn't quite work here, as the Chinese are as white as we are but tan differently. Perhaps I should say I don't try to tell them they're caucasian. Race isn't an issue for us, but they know they're Asian.
This case does raise an interesting point. Being "black" is worth a lot of points in our current racial sweepstakes system. Does MJ's daughter qualify as "black" if she's not black by genetics? There's money in this. If non-birth parents convey racial privileges to children of other races, I think I'll ask one of my black friends to adopt me. Then I guess my Chinese born kids could qualify as black as well. They're young enough to benefit from a lifetime of checking the preference box, and I'm sure future employers would be happy to play along if they get to hire Asians as blacks.
What a world the race-obsessed liberals have constructed. I know a young lady, now in college, whose genetic inheritance is mixed Anglo, Hispanic (Cuban Anglo), and black (from a dad who could pass for white). She looks thoroughly caucasian. She gets to go through life checking black and hispanic. She's a very bright girl and doesn't need the help as far as academics are concerned, but I imagine she gets scholarshipped up to the eyeballs.
Steve Martin has a better claim
23 and me time.
Well, when you die, don’t things like marriage and divorce become moot? He’s not around to sue her, so she should speak up.
This girl was never termed as an "adopted" daughter. The woman claimed that Jackson was her father. She is now claiming that she is "African-American". I am simply doubting the claim.
I was not commenting on calling adoptive parents "your parents". Don't know why you construed it that way. I am simply doubting that Michael Jackson was her "actual" father.
Who gives an Obama?
When I saw the name, I thought that the only Mark Lester I had ever heard of, as an actor, was a child actor who was Oliver in the musical movie of the same name. Turns out, that is who he is.
Even using other people’s genetic material to give birth to your child, you are still the parent. It is the same as adoption in terms of who the child’s parent is. Whatever kind of person (bad) Michael Jackson was, he was her father. Period.
I claim to be my daughter’s mother. And I AM! Even if she has none of my genetics. I don’t compare to Michael Jackson in any other way, but in that one, I do. We are both on the child’s birth certificate. We are the parents.
I suppose if he told her she was a boy she’d believe that too. Because why would he lie?
She looks like MJ made a turkey baster arrangement using the Macauley Culkin boy. Makes me wonder.
Thanks for the information about vitiglio, I never knew this.
Sure. I've enjoyed several of his movies from his and my youth.
Although I did learn something new. I mistakenly thought that he was director and/or producer of quite a few big movies after he grew up... Turns out that's a different Mark Lester.
