Comedian and former talk-show host Rosie O'Donnell has a new idea for preventing President-elect Donald Trump from taking office — martial law.
Hollywood hand-wringing over Mr. Trump’s Election Day victory was taken to a new level Wednesday night when Ms. O’Donnell told over 900,000 followers that she “fully” supported the imposition of martial law prior to Jan. 20.
“I fully support imposing martial law — delaying the inauguration — until Trump is ‘cleared’ of all charges,” Ms. O’Donnell, who formerly co-hosted “The View” with Barbara Walters, tweeted.

The only problem with Obama imposing martial law is finding enough soldiers and police to enforce it for him.

Imagine if anybody said they wanted martial law to prevent any Democrat from stepping into the Oval Office. They’d be called the biggest fascist/racist/sexist/homophobic/xenophobic/hater on the planet and their lives would be in danger.
If I’m not mistaken, it wouldn’t matter. The Constitution says that on January 20 12 Noon Washington time, it’s out with the old and in with the new. Trump could just take the oath in a private room somewhere. Martial law wouldn’t affect that. Any Constitutional lawyers that can advise me if that is indeed correct?
Yes - has she found any federal, state, or local government officials willing to participate in open rebellion against the United States, thereby inviting the President to impose martial law?
