The inauguration hasn't happened yet, and already Trump has started wearing out his welcome
Los Angeles Times ^ | January 13, 2017 | David Lauter

As a developer and a reality TV star, Donald Trump seemed to believe there was no such thing as too much publicity.

Already, as president elect, he’s finding that’s not so.

Trump is still a week away from being sworn in as president, but judging by the latest polls, he’s already started to wear out his welcome...

Only 44% of Americans approve of Trump’s transition so far, according to the latest Gallup figures, released Friday. A poll earlier in the week by Quinnipiac University pegged the number even lower — only 37% approved of Trump in that survey.

In either case, Trump stands far below the norm for a new president. In Gallup’s surveys, for example, 68% of Americans approved of Bill Clinton’s transition just before he took office, 61% approved of George W. Bush and a whopping 83% approved of Barack Obama.

Polls don’t say precisely why Trump’s standing has dropped, but there’s strong reason to think over-exposure plays a part...

Just keep in mind that there is NOTHING he will ever do that will make them say anything nice about him.

Just like there was 8 years of fawning Odumbass praise and boot-licking there will be (at least) 4 years of hate spewed from these same morons.

Actually polls are done nowadays specifically to support a predetermined outcome.

What frikkin’ welcome is this ass talking about? You can’t ‘wear out’ what was never offered to you in the first place, David.

Believe whatever you want, David. We’re going to be too busy fixing Obama’s disasters to worry about your silly, phony polls.

Polling the populace on issues is a joke. See LouderwithCrowder.

Plus, polling pre-inauguration is like fetal IQ testing.

This bilge from the same media who missed the Trump victory altogether and trusted polls that were scewed in Hillary's favor.

According to these folks, Hillary was winning the election, right up until....well....she didn't win the election.

The LA Times quoting "polls" the claim Trump is not popular. Geez, have they learned nothing from their incompetence leading up to the election? Same polls said Hillary was going to win.

To this we say,
Mr. Trump...
“You wear it well
A little old fashioned but that’s all right”

Take us back to the AMERICA in which we were born and grew to adulthood. Take us back to the AMERICA envisioned by our Founding Fathers - the men who spoke of GOD and Country, Honor and history. Proud men, men of knowledge. An AMERICA full of AMERICANS who love their country and countrymen.

Obama clears the way for Democrat protestors:

D.C. National Guard Chief Fired Days Before Trump Inauguration: “The Timing Is Extremely Unusual”

by Tyler Durden
Jan 13, 2017 2:50 PM

“The timing is extremely unusual,” Schwartz said in an interview Friday morning, confirming a memo announcing his ouster that was obtained by The Washington Post.

During the inauguration, Schwartz would command not only the members of the D.C. guard but also an additional 5,000 unarmed troops sent in from across the country to help. He also would oversee military air support protecting the nation’s capital during the inauguration.

“My troops will be on the street,” Schwartz, who turned 65 in October, said, “I’ll see them off but I won’t be able to welcome them back to the armory.” He said that he would “never plan to leave a mission in the middle of a battle.”

Schwartz, who was appointed to head the guard by President George W. Bush in 2008, maintained the position through President Obama’s two terms. He said his orders came from the Pentagon but that he doesn’t know who made the decision.

D.C. Council Chairman Phil Mendelson (D) blasted the decision to remove Schwartz, especially on Inauguration Day.

“It doesn’t make sense to can the general in the middle of an active deployment,” Mendelson said. He added that Schwartz’s sudden departure would be a long-term loss for the District. “He’s been really very good at working with the community and my impression was that he was good for the Guard.”

Unlike in states, where the governor appoints the National Guard commander, in the District that duty falls to the president.

Schwartz said that he has not been told why he was asked to step down. “I’m a soldier,” he said, noting that he was following orders and has no regrets. “I’m a presidential appointee, therefore the president has the power to remove me.”

Is this just another part of Obama’s “smooth” transition? Or is something even more sinister at work here, since we already know that anti-Trump activists are planning “the biggest protest in US history” on the day of the inauguratio

Only 44% of Americans approve of Trump’s transition

If the question was spelled out if you don't like the transition because the outgoing whiney baby was throwing up obstacles, then count me in that 44%. If they didn't clarify the questions, then it's bunk.

And they did such a good job with the pre-election poll. Weren’t they one of two that got it right? I wouldn’t trust Gallup with anything now, much less a poll in the waning days of Obozo.
