Pictures have emerged of an unidentified young man who was reportedly electrocuted to death in an unnamed area of Nigeria while trying to steal cables from a transformer.
According to the picture obtained online, the young man's lifeless body was seen laying on the ground inside the place where the transformer was erected.
As at the time of filing this report, it could not be ascertained whether the man's family members had gone there to identify him and take his corpse away to give him a befitting burial after the sudden incident.
Guess he got a little too amped up.
Poor guy never made it ohm.
>>the young man’s lifeless body was seen laying on the ground
How was his lifeless body laying on the ground? Was it being animated by the electricity?
OH..
this piqued my interest because I was trying to figure out how he died stealing jumper cables - figured the owner shot him.
Or, at the least he was trying to steal Comcast Cable.
Oh well, pays to read the article or at least the comments.
The real idiots are going to be the 10 or so that will say he didn’t do it the right way and attempt it themselves.
Hopefully with the same results.
Some people take longer for something to catch on.
This is why Africans can’t have nice things. Try to improve the place and the stuff gets stolen.
It’s nice to see some coverage of “current” events in Nigeria.
what is sad is this happens in detroit too. If you look at the street lights in detroit you’ll see they have plastic covers on the base. those were put there to keep people from stealing the wires form them.
That’s pretty much the correct description of what happened. Electricity always wants to go to ground.
He just could not resist...
Darwin award.
FreeRepublic keeps me up on Current events.

Okay, I’ll say it:
He should have taken the incoming voltage to ground, short-circuiting the input to the transformer. Only takes a ground-post and some twisted wire tossed across the input wires.
Alternately, he could have just opened the breaker that serves the transformer, most have switches on the cabinet to open the breaker.
I'd be more worried if he had been electrocuted and he didn't die.
Don’t steal cable. Get Direct TV instead.
Watt happened?
The same question sparked my interest!
Poor guy. I guess he didn’t listen when his mom told him not to smoke.
The White Witch in the Devil Box leapt out and stole away his spirit.
What a shame. He had musical talent and wanted to be a conductor.
Sometimes they also steal the PCB laden transformer oil. It lasts longer than vegetable oil in the fryers at the roadside food stands.
Either way is a rough way to go.
