By any fashionable standard, the little black dress that Melania Trump wore on New Year’s Eve was quite chic: a $3,000 cocktail dress designed by Dolce & Gabbana with bejeweled bows on the shoulders.
Italian designer Stefano Gabbana thought the incoming first lady looked quite fetching in his dress and said so on Instagram, where he thanked her for wearing it.
He called Trump, a reported longtime fan of the label, a #DGwoman.

But the post infuriated Donald Trump critics and further fueled the ongoing debate in fashion circles about whether designers who dress the future first lady are, in turn, endorsing her husband’s politics.

Melania should tell the designers to go jump in a lake. She can afford her own personal designer and should just do that.

I’m sure Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue will preach the gospel when she decided what it is. She so proudly announced that Vogue was endorsing Hillary, the first time they had endorsed anyone. I hope The Deplorables cancelled existing subscriptions and promise never to pick up that elitist rag again.

Personally, I’ll only complain if it isn’t flattering to her. ;-)

I got one for you. You know this guy from Minnesota who sells the pillows? He was on Varney this morning. His company has sold probably over 25 million pillows with less than 200 complaints, (which he responds to personally). The Better Business Bureau of his state has given him an A+ rating until last August when he came out as a strong supporter of Trump. They then dropped his rating to F, but sales now are going crazy.
In short, there’s something that I’m going to call the Trump effect, which is when a follower of Trump sees a rise in his business or popularity, and the opposite when he is a vocal opponent.
I look for B & G dresses to go up, along with the pillow guy’s pillows.
