What was supposed to be a happy visit with Santa left a bad taste in the mouth of a 9-year-old boy in North Carolina.
That’s because the jolly old fat man reportedly shamed the child by telling him to “lay off the hamburgers and french fries,” local station WLOS TV reports.
On Saturday, Anthony Mayse of Rutherfordton went to a Christmas event in nearby Forest City. The family enjoyed a carriage ride and ice skating before ending the night with a visit to Santa.

Lighten up....I’m sure it was said in a non-offensive way. And no one has mentioned the kids weight or posted a picture that I know of....or did I miss it?
When it started, I weighed 80 Lbs. When it ended I weighed 90.
I was the biggest kid in my grade always, right up until high school.
This kid at 200 Lbs must be a real porker.
First of all.....Saw the video....The kids takes after big mama....and he has no business sitting on santa’s lap in the first place...1st because he a lard....2nd...His doing it was meant as a farce to start with....like he believes in santa???

Maybe the boy’s weight was hurting his leg, so he couldn’t help himself.

Santa did the kid a favor ... Tubby is cruisin’ for a heart attack at age 20.

Kid, yer fat. Run a few laps, eat a salad, and stop thinking the world owes you respect.
The mother just wanted their five minutes of fame and the MSM is all too happy to accommodate her...
LOL! Reminded me of the raccoons in the commercial for Geico....he probably would have tasted it....
That must have been a sight, him sitting on Santa’s lap. He is a big boy. He might have arrested secondary sexual characteristics.
He’s not that fat to begin with. I was expecting to see a grossly overweight kid, but that is not the case.
Fat shaming? This is a thing now? Fat is the new normal? Hey kid: put down the game controller and go ride a bike or something.
“And that really just disrespected me...” Hey, tubs...you earn respect. Not everyone gets a trophy in the real world. But have a milk shake, you’ll feel better.
Santa has a point.
And maybe I’m being a bit of a hater as the kids say — but isn’t he a little old to be sitting on Santa’s lap? He’s like 9, right?
