The only way Trump will be stopped is if someone stops him He will not "pivot". He will not change his mind unless it's to do something worse he just thought up. He has never and will never start respecting anything - no matter how sacred it may be to us. He will not stop tweeting. He will never listen to anyone about anything at any time and for any reason. He will do whatever he feels like doing in the moment. He will not stop.
Unless he is stopped what we see now is what we get.
Perhaps in time the people who have the power to stop him through the law or through a coup d'estat or through assassination will act, but until then the entire world as we know it is in peril.
We best face facts.

I definitely feel concern that someone may try to eliminate him. Especially with all the irresponsible hateful rhetoric about him, which unbalanced people might take as a directive to violence.

Thanks for the reference. Good for Freepers to know too (hey obama has another month). A conviction for a poster that says “Hang President Roosevelt”. Although I imagine that today that might result in a talking to and maybe probation? What about all the hanging Bush puppets in effigy back in the day? (Although I’m guessing the response would be different if it had been obama hanging in effigy.)

The Secret Service needs to start rounding up these aholes who are making threats against our President-Elect any slamming their worthless asses in jail where they belong.

Yeah, I have to agree. Wistful thinking/typing by a thoughtless idiot. Although he is not advocating an assassination, he has to know that the forum that he is posting his comments is populated by marginally crazy people (like himself) and he should be more guarded in his mindless comments. It doesn't take much to trigger a crazy.

Look at all of the Videos of Democrats, celebrities, and Media Talking Heads from before the election predicting what was going to happen. We have all seen them, and everybody finds them amusing. I find them to be chilling.
What I find chilling is that 95% of those Democrats don’t say, “Trump can’t win”, “Trump can’t beat Hillary”, or “Trump will lose the election”
They say, over and over again the more ponderous “Trump will never be President of the United States”.
Well, you know what? They’re not wrong yet. Trump is not yet President of the United States. We are all very confident that it is inevitable, but you just saw a lot of people say, without equivocation, that this will not happen. This makes me very uneasy.
Do they know of some remedy that will keep the results of the election from coming to pass?
And if that is the case, it looks like a helluva a lot of people have known about it for some time.
I am laying down a marker. If anything happens between now and Inaugeration Day that keeps Donald Trump from office, I want to hear from all those people who did not say “Trump will lose the election”, and instead said “Trump will never be President”.

Me too. This looks like a call for political action. I would defend ‘lunatica’ and his or her right to be incredibly wrong, to the death.
