They look like a typical cross-section of the people who hung out at my house in San Jose...
From the pictures it appears they are all Democrats.
Will be interesting to compare the national media coverage of this fire vs. the Gatlinburg fire last week.
Most people will walk by numerous marked exits to go out the door they entered.
These types of incidents can be traced back to chained exits, lack of situational awareness, and intoxication. Sometimes you get the pyrotechnics coupled with highly flammable wall coverings like the”Station” fire with White Snake.
It still boils down to lack of situational awareness.

Not only does the Daily Mail scoop US news, it provides context and detail instantaneously. Those poor people. As I look at them, I cannot help but wonder what formed their humanity, their interests, their presence, their thinking. And I do not mean that in a disparaging way; it is only that they are so different from what I see and know. I suppose the fact that we are all God’s children is explanation enough.

Used to live in Oakland, down by Lake Merritt when I was a kid.
Dead are liberals and Hippies.
You would think people would see the irony of the attraction of raves. Because part of the appeal is that they are in dangerous and unsavory places, those who were coddled in their cotton batting worlds are drawn to them for the excitement and illicit pleasure of living on the edge away from authoritarian control.
Liberals are tweaked and they like being that way.
Prayers up for those who lost their lives so terribly.
