Electoral College voters based in Colorado have formed a political non-profit to block Donald Trump from the presidency.
According to The Denver Post, Michael Baca, a Democratic elector, filed paperwork Tuesday with the Colorado Secretary of State's Office to create the "Hamilton Electors," a group able to fundraise unlimited donations from individuals, corporations and labor unions for political reasons.
The goal of the group is to convince Republican and Democratic Electoral College voters to unify behind a Republican alternative for President or force an Electoral College deadlock.
“I was opposed, actually, to raising money because I would prefer to just have this done organically,” Baca told The Denver Post. “But we’ve had people throwing money at us through our website.”
Baca also told the newspaper several Democratic voters and one Republican voter have officially committed to the movement, and the group is in talks with four other Republican voters as well. It will be difficult however. There are laws in 29 states that prohibit electors from voting contrary to how the state's population votes.
Ultimately, Baca thinks the success of the movement is unlikely, but is pursing it anyway.
“In all likelihood, when it’s all said and done, we’ll probably end up sending that money back to the people,” Baca told The Denver Post.

This is like phone push-polling, where brief surveys are taken, and then focusing on a key issue or two where the candidate is @ variance w/what they believe. The thing is with push-pulling is that you usually get 99% of people who are either...
(a) already committed to vote for a certain candidate
...or (b) already vote according to certain pet issues...
...or (c) already obligated to vote by party
With these electors the overwhelming # of them having the same kind of impulse as (c) -- sense of pre-existing obligation, especially since unlike ballot box voting, you are publicly exposed as to how you voted.
Push-polling only works if you are able to generate extremely high call volumes and actually get people to take the survey. In the same way, this group is NOT getting access to the given electors, & is not able to be persuasive because of that.
But it won't surprise me if there's some last-minute bullying, some last-minute confrontational bribing (or intensified threats of violence)...better believe that each elector has/is been/being researched to the nth degree & that just before they go vote, many may be confronted with something uncovered about their past/present.
The risk for these corrupt connivers is to have some of these electors expose their forthcoming behind-the-scenes shenanigans, tainting the Dems even more.
I haven't looked up many statutes/codes state-by-state, but this one in Florida is an example of corruption against a "public servant" (which an elector is, after all):

Law enforcement agencies better be ready for what's likely coming down the pike this month...My guess is that the Democrat operatives, if they "have the goods on any given elector," will wait until very late right up against the elector vote to take place to (a) attempt to avoid an early scandal exposure of their latest corruption; and (b) get the most bang for their vote-peddling...the shock of an elector being confronted could translate immediately into an altered vote.

Time for some good lawyers to sue these bastards for a conspiracy to deny us of our our right to vote for our president. Needs to be done in each state where these criminal acts to deny us of our vote via the electoral college is being done!

Yeah but I wouldn’t want some intelligence agency thinking I am posting anything threatening. So ...... I am non-threatening. And truthfully, for the most part, I am a very peaceful person.
Unfortunately, the Electoral College is a part of this constitutional process as well, and not all states compel Electors to be faithful, and only a handful of the ones that do have laws that can void the faithless elector’s vote before it it counted. Thankfully one of those states is Michigan.
So what they’re doing isn’t illegal, it is just very much a billion-to-1 hail mary. I want them to try as hard as they can, because their failure and the subsequent Trump inauguration will be extra-bitter for them.
Raising money to influence electors is actionable via RICO in my opinion.
There are Three Percenters in this country. You never know when you might be talking to one.
They need to get all the California and New York electors to vote for a republican other than Trump too. That will really show Trump. In fact why not all the Democrat Electors. Have them get 0 votes in a few weeks. That will teach everyone a lesson.
