Mitch McConnell's wife, Elaine Chao, just picked by Trump to be Transportation Secretary!!
WABC770 radio | 11/29/16 | Michael Savage

Posted on 11/29/2016 12:42:01 PM PST by EinNYC

I just heard, about 60 seconds ago, that Trump has chosen Elaine Chao, wife of MITCH MCCONNELL, to be his Transportation Secretary. His last few cabinet picks have been atrocious choices (that he's even considering Romney is disgusting) and one must wonder if the RNC and his Rinsy Boy are not calling the shots at these horrible choices. There is hardly a bigger RINO or more destructive person in the Senate than Mitch McConnell. Chao is just a Bush cabinet retread with no particular qualifications for this job. The people voted in Trump to get away from the RNC establishment, and here he is appointing every tired sorry retread from it. What is wrong with you, Donald? By what tender part of your body are they hanging you, to get you to name their prized idiots to your cabinet? You have the presidency, both houses, and you want to poison your own well with these cretins, who will actively work against all the things people voted FOR. Wake up, buddy.

That should keep the turtle in line. His head will retract back into his shell a little.

Mitch is a democratic collaborator and I’m sure his wife is no better. But I can see where going up against his wife could be trouble for the turtle, so I’ll give Trump the benefit of the doubt.

Not particularly pleased by that, but far less dangerous than picking Willard for SECSTATE

Let’s hope he’s done appeasing the establishment and we are spared Romney as SOS.
Transportation Secretary is not that big a deal and it will help him get his infrastructure plans through Congress.
Romney as SOS is a bridge too far.

No, in fact Savage single-handedly got Trump elected. Just ask him.

Michael Savage now live, saying , and I believe right that Rinse Pubis made a deal to have RNC back Trump, if Trump appoints GOP Rinos. And so far has not appointed any Tea Party backed people.

Maybe part of the RNC deal was to make Mittens SOS?

This sh*t must end. Either we drain the swamp or we get drowned in it. I can see the Rats 2020 ads already in process.

Savage backed Trump, and Trump told him he would be invited to Inaugeration, but no invite yet?

Savage is wrong. Chao is very qualified.

Wikipedia:

“In 1986, Chao became deputy administrator of the Maritime Administration in the U.S. Department of Transportation. From 1988 to 1989, she served as chairwoman of the Federal Maritime Commission.[13] In 1989, President George H. W. Bush nominated Chao to be Deputy Secretary of Transportation. From 1991 to 1992, Chao was Director of the Peace Corps.[13] She was the first Asian Pacific American to serve in any of these positions. She expanded the Peace Corps's presence in Eastern Europe and Central Asia by establishing the first Peace Corps programs in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, and other newly independent states of the former Soviet Union.[14]

“In 2011 and 2013, Chao attended Shanghai signing ceremonies for Capesize bulkers launched by the Foremost Group, her father's company, where she spoke publicly about U.S.–China relations.[46] At the 2013 ceremony, Chao stated, “The U.S.-China relations[hip] is among the most important bilateral relationships in the world. And as such, there is no other alternative but to have a harmonious and a cooperative relationship. As with any relationship, there are bound to be ups, downs, disagreements, but in the overall scheme of things, in the overall direction, for the benefit of the world, [the] U.S. and China must get along, and must find a way to do so.”[47]

During Chao's first four years as Secretary of Labor, OSHA did not promulgate a single significant health standard.[24]

I work in Logistics, DOT has been out of control under O. Sound like Chao is just want we need at DOT.

So how about we base our thinking going forward on facts rather then continue to cling to hurt feelings left over from the Primaries?

A two-fer. A minority and a woman. She has been a cabinet officer before. Secretary of Transportation is not exactly a major cabinet position.
