I don’t think Trump will be as eloquent in speech as Reagan, but in resolve, most definitely.

Thank you for posting this video clip of what true leadership looks like in the face of indignant opposition.

FWIW...this morning's email included a notice from one of the local public high schools which surprised me in its soundness. Of note, I reside in a patriotic red pocket of a very blue state, NY:

Good evening,

Yesterday, we became aware of potential protesting during school over the next week. These protests were organized out side of school and were then promoted through social media as well as some fliers that were taped up in our hallways.

By following the thread of social media, we were able to determine the organizers. They and their families were in full agreement that the "events" would have posed a significant disruption to the educational process as well as a potential safety issue in our building. The posts were removed from social media and any events/plans were cancelled.

While we wish to empower our students and teach them how to have their voices heard, we must do so in a way that allows for safety in our schools and of course for teaching and learning.

As an alternative, we will use this as a teachable moment in which we can all come together in unity. I invite everyone to wear school colors all week and to recognize, demonstrate and celebrate kindness to each other. By coming together as the great school we are and by celebrating the best in each other we can teach our students to lead the way--as they will-- all too soon!

I lived in Sacramento during those times. It was great to see him in action. Didn’t really think we’d be seeing anything like those protests again but I guess I just wasn’t thinking clearly. Those 60’s creeps went on to run governments and now there’s another crop of them. Just great!

“”So tell me, where they this stupid back then as they are today?””

I’m afraid so. Different cause - interchangeable, recycled idiots. Never could understand the appeal of making idiots of themselves but different strokes for different folks, I guess and that may be where that came from. I don’t think we’ll ever have a shortage of these kind of pukes.

Seeing some of these urchins on the news is sickening. “Who’s going to pay for my birth control if I can’t be on my parent’s insurance coverage?” I hope obozo is proud of himself. He didn’t care what he gave away or what a new president would have to undo - he wanted to be a hero to these jerks. He ended up being a “jerk” to us, certainly not a hero then, now or ever! Can you imagine maybe now 99% of the population won’t have to be held hostage to the 1% that makes all the noise! HAPPY DAYS!

It was hard to get away from the news coverage in the sixties. Remember we didn’t have cable TV and had to make do with 3 channels and 1 something else - I don’t remember what it was - UHF?? I only know we had to leave our comfy chairs, get up and cross the room to change the channel. TV in bedrooms? It was unheard of and unthought of!!!

The best of times and some were the worst of times. We didn’t know how good we had it until the 2008 presidential election.
